Republican Washington Rep. Dan Newhouse introduced legislation intended to prevent the federal agencies from accting on a plan to reintroduce grizzly bears into north central Washington, saying, "If this was a great place for grizzly bears, that there would already be bears there. It is just not a conducive habitat."

The question always comes back…. Why are people in government, so abundantly stupid? Or, why would they do this? There is a lot of outside influence with U.N. connections. Farmland, next to known rugged mountains, which holds a small number of bears already. An abundant food source at the ready, down on the lower land. We are in a bad way with this current batch of Bushwackers.

There's not enough berries or deer to feed these creatures. I lived in that region for 30 years and this is not a good idea for that area. I lived in Okanogan County and everyone hates this stupid idea. I'm thankful I moved from there.

With out making this political, I have been here my whole life almost 50 years and see no problem with it and our town is right at the foot of the mountain, I have heard 1 maybe 2 comments about this being a bad idea and those were farmers that live outside of town. Most of the comments are people talking about criminals and homeless being eatin .. Not from somebody who would actually have contact with the Grizzly. But just like assholes we all are entitled to our shitty opinions. Montana has 2000+ grizzly or close to that number and very rarely a grizzly encounter except for the morons that visit Yellowstone , but again them are city folks.

@@jerrysnyder5398 Your numbers are a little high. There are about 1800 bears across Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, and NE Washington. About 1,000 of those are in and around the Yellowstone Park area.

At the end of the video, he calls it "fact driven, unbiased coverage". The entire piece presented *_only one point of view._* It was also just the congressman's *_opinion._* Where are the facts? Where is the opposite viewpoint? Regardless of what side of the bear issue someone is on, this coverage falls well short of their claim of fact driven, unbiased coverage. I'm totally unimpressed by Vittert's performance here, with this bush league coverage.

@@randrobinson443 , we currently do have black and brown bears here in WA state and always have. Grizzlies are native here as well, but they were driven out, along with wolves. A few of that particular species of bear have been spotted, likely just drifters across the Canadian border. Wolves have already been reintroduced here, so now they want to bring the grizzlies back in as well. The people in the video aren't wildlife biologists or anyone else knowledgeable in wildlife habitat and population, they are news reporters and politicians.

@randrobinson443 Settle down Robin, this guy doesn't know exactly what he is talking about. But it is stupid, in my opinion, wolves were reintroduce in Yellowstone and they have created a problem in many areas, the have spread even as far as California on their own. Grizzly Bears from Yellowstone are doing the same all on their own. I think what the left is trying to do is deplete the elk and deer population so that they can say no more hunting.
