It's getting worse. Now comic con just posted that you need to get a "preregistration validation" before you qualify to try to get tickets if you hold a 2014 badge. From the announcement: "Sometime in the next couple of weeks you will receive a very important email from Comic-Con with instructions on how to enter your badge ID online for preregistration validation. The validation period will only be open for a short window of time so keep an eye out for this very important email or bookmark Toucan, the official blog of Comic-Con International, WonderCon Anaheim and APE. We will post helpful registration hints and tips on the blog in the weeks preceding preregistration. - See more at: www.comic-con.org/toucan/dont-toss-your-comic-con-2014-badge-just-yet-youre-going-need-it#sthash.3HV45Qk4.dpuf "
They were geniuses . It was very easy for them to develop an algorithm which constantly refreshes the site in an accelerated speed untill it gets in . After that , all they have to set up a good wifi and keep the program running .
In 2005 it was NOT this hard at alllllllll. You must be confused. They didn’t even presell online badges in 2005. You could still walk up and buy a ticket that year
I have a friend that was laughing his ass off cuz everything in this scene is on point! Not just with SDCC but also with NYCC. I heard people would take a day off for this smh wow
I think SDCC has cleaned up their act as far as selling tickets goes. I've managed to get tickets the last few years. What percentage of people who try and fail to get tickets is unknown to us.
These scenes are actually also accurate for me trying to get Wrestlemania Axxess tickets especially for the VIP talent and specifically on Saturday when it's the notoriously most popular day to go because it's usually the "best" people. I remember doing something like this when tickets used to go live to meet The Shield (Dean Ambrose,Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins) in WWE. LOL! Those were my guys and if they were there and there was a way for me to be there,I was gonna be there! Met them a bunch of times and never regretted doing this once! Totally worth it! I can understand Sheldon's and the guys' passion!
I remember in 1992 when I was in the Navy in San Diego, I walked right up to the Comic Con ticket booth and got a ticket for $13 with my military discount and I remember thinking that's kind of expensive even with a military discount!
I remember when you could buy your Comic Con ticket at the door- Later on to avoid the line I would mail in my money order and they would mail me notice that my ticket was waiting- even when they started to sell them online you could put it off for awhile- Only in the last few years have it got so that you had to be in the system within about the first five minutes or you had no chance at all of getting in at all.
2022 and comic con tickets are twice as hard to get as they are showing here. Everyone gets in the queue and then you are randomly selected. It's stressful and nerve wracking.
That was me and my family this year, we have been trying for years to get comic con tickets and finally this year we got in!!! Honestly we would have been depressed if we failed again.
Not sure if you know this info already but you basically volunteer for a couple of hours (2-3) and you get to experience the entire convention center like panels ,hall H( if you wait), and the convention floor for "free"
@@NeoJoseRex590 jajaja yo tambien, tres entradas porque mi familia tambien es peliculera (de ellos herede el gusto por marvel y Dc) asique es tradicion ir a ver juntos al cine.
Random Musings DUDE THEY STILL HAVE THOSE?!? 😱 I went to San Diego Comic Con in 2013 and had a r day pass but I heard they stopped offering that option. If they brought it back I am SO trying to get tickets again!
For me this is the scene that completely sumed up the whole series of the big bang theory, the guys plan then sadness about comi con and penny's confusion and disinterest. 😂
oh the struggle of buying tickets.... I was one of the last in the epic waiting room and could only score tickets for Thursday. Have to figure out how I'm going to get in Friday and Saturday :/
Did you notice that Penny STARTS with the typical Yellow Coffee mug but by the end of the scene she's using a Big Yellow Soup Mug? Not enough coffee, apparently.
I got mine already during the returning attendees sale, got the 3 days I wanted could've gotten Sunday but I'm going to go see my favorite baseball team the Red Sox play the Angels in Anaheim on that Sunday. But this will be my 4th time going 2nd straight year!
I suffered all of their emotions while in waiting room. I drank a big cup of coffee and needed to pee badly, except I was lucky enough to get a Saturday badge. It was all worth it.
Funniest/most ironic thing about this episode was SDCC changed their system for how you bought tickets the same year this aired so they were doing it completely wrong! So it's no wonder they didn't get in, but it is strange that such a supposedly nerdy show didn't pick up on that!
This is so real, though. Every year this happens to us for NYCC and for the past 2yrs, I haven't been able to get any tickets. It wasn't like this before and it's just making it not worth the trouble to go there.
I got lucky in the returning registration for 2019 thanks to my cousin who got in before me and he got himself, his girlfriend and myself all 5 days! Good luck in the open registration.
the funny thing was that the writers had them using the wrong system....I think this refreshing thing was for the old first come first serve system they used to have before they switched over to the "random" one
