Trey Biltin Appreciate this video. Your hard work on this video paid off because it’s the single best synopsis of this game that I’ve EVER seen. You have a talent for selecting content.
Yes now you know why the Patriots have the best player's. There not stupid enough to run into not only the slowest but the only one down the field when going for a TD what an idiot.
Joseph Moore mike Tomlin should of been replaced since 2012 , how tf you not know what’s wrong with your team , the defense should of been fixed but no mike wants to be an idiot pass on all these FA
My favorite Steelers team to this day. Not the best team, lost games they should have won but they wanted to win and they did. Still remember Bettis' fumble and Ben's shoestring tackle like it was yesterday
It would have never been this close if the correct call on Troy's interception was made. The league gave Manning every chance to win this game, that was a clear INT by Troy though and they somehow reversed it.
Rick Arden he dropped the ball before his feet touched the ground after picking off the pass. By rule it’s an incomplete pass. I don’t know what else to tell you
@@LeBronIsAllMight You are an absolute moron to try and defend that by stating rule. So a player's feet MUST touch the ground for a pass to be complete? Congratulations! Dumbest statement on the internet today
@@bradleybrown8399 he's "crying" about the fact that it was a clear INT, it was reviewed which should have been even more evidence of the obvious but then was incorrectly overturned and nobody said anything about it, the game was allowed to go on as if it never happened which in turn changed the entire momentum of the game. They got one of the most dangerous things a desperate team can have...hope. It got them back into a game when they had ZERO chance of winning at that point, andit was allowed to happen. It was blatant cheating
If the Steelers would have lost cause of bettis fumbled he would have had to take the bus out of Pittsburgh and joined Neil o'Donnell as 2 players Pittsburgh hates but he got saved
I've always remembered the famous "shoe string" take down from Ben, but I had forgot just how stacked the ref's were trying to make the Colts win. Those were clear ints from Troy.
Ok I will say this as an Official and yes I'm a Colts fan also but that was NOT an interception as he didn't have control of the ball before he fumbled!
Michael Hogg no but the first one was deffly a pick clearly had his hands under it. And that was forsure a safety I mean those refs must have wanted indy to win
@@michaelhogg324 He literally rolled on the ground with clear possession of the ball. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dO8-MpXgjsw.html This is one of the worst calls I have ever seen.
Awesome Jaymz when I was real little I saw health catch an amazing touchdown and ever since I’ve been a huge fan nothing better than watching an entire stadium roar HEALTHHHHHHH
I remember thinking my Broncos had the SB in the bag once this upset happened, Peyton back then always beat us and with him out the way I thought we had it locked up. Then the team gets the flu the week of AFC title game and beatdown with homefield advantage. Crazy the Steelers won that SB in spite of Bettis too, in his hometown with those clearly biased refs helping the Steelers
@@fedupwithfed4047 It's hilarious seeing browns fans every damn year thinking "this will be the year we win that superbowl" only to be dogshit like always lmao
As a colts fan this was the toughest pill to swallow and I actually said after this game that Peyton Manning will never win one...This was by far the most complete team we ever had with home field advantage and got MAN HANDLED by the Steelers
It was very demoralizing... and Indy went through this year after year. The best offense to ever play and we would get knocked out in the divisional round every year. It was tough being a colts fan from 2204-2011
NYG5 eh not really. The offensive PI call was good. The holding call was good. It was easy to think the refs helped because Seattle had these penalties at the absolute worst times but the refs backed the Steelers way up on a 3rd down calling holding on them and Ben hit Hines for a big play that set up for the first td. So the Steelers had to overcome the officiating in that game too
Up until then he was automatic...a lock to make that kick....I was watching with my dad and couldn't believe he missed...what a team that was ...Ben is the only one left now out of all of them....
No Mike missing that field goal and shortly after him missing going on the late night show hitting from the same distance killed his career. He was on the show making it look like he was paid off. I couldn't believe he did but I'd forgotten he was a jerk.
Most people call this an upset. I think not. Steelers were 11-5 and Ben missed 2 of those games they lost. One of those games. Was after Ben was out for 3 weeks, and had to play on Monday night in Indy. The Steelers played great on the road all season. And should have been 13-3.
you gotta admit, this game was total mastery on both ends, and both teams. No "gate" stuff, no cheating, no bs, just good oldschool football. man i miss it
everyone has to remember that Pitt was 15-1 the season before with the same roster. This was an upset, but Pitt was the best team in the NFL just a season ago.
Nikhil Krishna yep bens rookie year. came in and won what 15 straight games and led his team to the AFC champ game where they lost to the Pats the year the pats were stealing signals? beat up the pats earlier that season wasn’t even close then played them in the AFCC with the same two teams, no injuries on either side, back at hines field, joey porter (who terrorized tom brady back then) is quoted saying anytime the steelers called a play and lined up the Pats would audible out and change their play after seeing the formation and signals and it was like they knew every play the steelers were going to run before they ran it. said they predicted over 80% of the steelers plays correctly. imagine if they didn’t do that and big ben went 16-0 as a starter and led his team to the SB. can’t remember who the pats beat that year but i know no NFC team was beating the steelers in the SB esp with that momentum and how hot the steelers defense was.
Cody Billick Bahahaha nice excuse. 20 straight years of Patriots dominating the Steelers and this guys over here making fake reasons why they lost a game 15 years ago 😂
Wanna see Hines and Polamalu make the HOF. Ward was my dude, 2x SB champ, SB mvp, 1000 rec.,(only 8 players to do so) over 12,000 yards, 85 tds, maybe the best blocking WR ever, the guy was tough as nails.
Amen, team player that respected the greats before him! Unlike players like Bell and Brown all about themselves! Even Hines was unhappy over contracts but he came back for his team! When they all needed Bell last year when Conner went down but played games with media, and this is the difference why Bettis and Ward are Champions and their not
Every time I hear someone whining that Super Bowl XL was the worst officiated game of all time, I tell them that wasn't even the worst officiated game of the '05 postseason. The Denver-New England divisional game wasn't anything to write home about either.
wolfie wolf you mean to tell me, the man rolled on the grass with his knees clearly on the ground, and as he was getting up, he loses control. I’m pretty sure that’s an interception buddy
@@robsmith961 Nope not influence , decide. more often in big big situations like the playoffs and big team match ups, Steelers vs Patriots, Rams vs the Saints
@@TheMercenary-zj5vo yeah, but those are bang-bang plays. It seems more reasonable to think that refs sometimes blow calls because they are human than to believe some conspiracy that a ref in the heat of the moment thinks to himself, "Oh, I guess this is one of those plays I should or should not throw a flag/make a certain call because the NFL told us they want this particular team to win."
This was fun to watch. I was in Mississippi (from PA) working right after hurricane Katrina and I had to listen to this on the radio. Had a damn heart attack. Especially not being able to see what was going on. Nettis was all-time favorite and I was shocked he fumbled. Crazy.
12:51 being overturned could very well be the worst instant replay call in football history. It makes me think that either the officials had some money invested in this game, or that the NFL told them to make sure Indianapolis won.
I remember this Colts team and this year. This year these Colts were the team to beat. They were the top team in the NFL. They were feared. I was so negative about our chances, and then when we beat the Colts, I knew we would go all the way.
from pittsburgh, been watching for a while (only 27 though) and i've never been more terrified than that moment when the bus fumbled. whole house went from pure excitement to absolute dread in 2 seconds.
I was watching patriots vs Steelers 2010 highlights on nfl throwback channel right, I’m so damn high I didn’t even know the next video was playing until two minutes in the video.
I really miss these Steelers. Went on the road against the top AFC seeds in the league and beat them. The modern day Steelers wish they could be this good and focused. This was Peyton Manning at his peak. Now we lose to guys like Tebow and Bortles in the playoffs.
1. Pittsburgh's o line was trash back then. Ben's scrambling for his life every play. 2. Randel El such an underrated receiver, dude was a boss. 3. I wonder if Peyton has nightmares about Polamalu..
@@No1tgffgh ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0jtvtJIYEOw.html In this video he says that safeties as Ed Reed and Troy Polamalu gave him nightmares
Crazy how Vandejac was 23-23 FG at home from 04-05 then this game happens and he chokes it wide right Dungy and Bill Pollian knew they had to make a change at the kicking position cause the media and the announcers made him seem like a Clutch kicker and he wasn't
Peyton Manning looks like Eli in this game....or some kind of rookie...that defense of Pittsburgh is rattling Manning and his untimely releases are ineffective. Colts had a very intense defense but their impotent offensive sacked all their efforts. Manning has been labeled as a great quarter back....but he has more crucial losses than wins.....
lol he lead a four minute comeback against the best defense in the league with nobody good around him. he had no time to throw and the run game was garbage. teams get losses, not individual players. dumb shit
I was 12 when this game occurred and I’m a Steelers fan but honestly it’s so crazy to think how much the game has changed in such a short amount of time
