As many viewers know I love an underdog rifle and as a springer man I couldn't resist the urge to take a punt at the Norica Storm. On paper the rifle ticks all the right boxes for me personally.
It's an underdog in the UK,
It's beautiful to look at,
It uses a spring,
and it isn't ridiculously priced.
But that is just half of the story of course because all of these positives are completely worthless if the rifle can't shoot its way out of a plastic bag. So lets do a bit of research and put the Storm in the spotlight so we can see what's what!
I owe a MASSIVE thank you to the lovely people at Regael for sending me this rifle for a review whilst also allowing me to truly speak my mind about the rifle. If interested you can get in touch with Regael and ourselves at:

Thanks for watching!

Hey mate, thanks for that, yeah I'm planning on reviewing a lot more of the cheaper end springers this year as I think they're a chronically overlooked part of the airgun community. £500 PCP's are nice but it isn't what we'll end up starting with so if I can help in that regard then I'll do my best.

Haha it's a damn pretty rifle isn't it! Usually you only see that type of checkering on the far more expensive stuff. If you want to see some more interesting Spanish rifles take a look at the Cometas, you may have better luck finding them in Canada too. Thanks Douglas and look after yourself.

Hi Rob, I agree mate if I'm honest although I do appreciate what PCP's are capable of I always find sprngers more interesting and fun to shoot. As long as I don't get anything pop up that might change my plans my goals for this year are to review more cheaper springers and gas rams..... ....although that being said we will be reviewing the Artemis M16 next haha.

Well and truly tested indeed, Dan and a really competent review. The pellet weight test was really interesting and quite surprising. I've just picked up a s/h BSA Lightning and I'm loving the carbine barrel, but I'm wondering whether the same test would hold true for a shorter barrel. Might be interesting to see. Stay safe and happy springing!

Excellent review!!! Congratulations!!! I liked the performance of the Brazilian Rifle Premium pellets. It really shows that brazilian pellets have taken a great leap in quality in recent years. But in general, there is still a lot to improve, lol.

Hi Hugo! The Rifle pellets are genuinely excellent pellets that have done exceptionally well in professional target competitions. In my experience the .22's for sub 12 ft-lbs aren't the best usually but the .177 Field and Premium lines are fantastic!

I'm more than year late to this test, I found this while looking at reviews of air rifles that I do own. I don't own that model Norica Storm, but I do have the Norica Hawk in .22 cal. which is a GRS ( gas ram system ) and have not been shooting with it much. I don't have a sensible answer why I have not had much shooting with the Hawk but I'll remedy this now as soon as our crappy weather ceases. I am interested in the performance figures you achieved with those different pellets and wished we had a dealer here in Canada who does stock those Brazilian 'Rifle' branded pellets. Thanks for this one Dan,...Cheers!

1:26 My Norica Storm 5,5mm (.22) is the most accurate with JSB Straton Jumbo, which are pointed. Not always domed are the best, it depends on your particular barrel, not even model or brand of air rifle. By the way, with that long expansion camera you can install a 24 jules original Norica gasram, illegal in the UK unless you have a firearm license but... who knows? For the .177 I would say 24j is too much, not for .22 caliber.

Hi Shane. The HW99S is a brilliant little gun but I'd personally take the Norica just for the underdog factor.I'm a bit weird like that. Both are as accurate as eachother but whilst the HW99S has the trigger.. the Norica has that beautiful stock. The sensible money would be on a sorted HW99S, the Storm is more for the unique factor.

I went yesterday for the first time with my new Norica Storm to the shooting range (7,5 joules) Being used to shooting with my three Weihrauchs, I immediately felt that it's not the same category. I find the trigger very hard and weird, in fact I had to sand it because it literally cuts my finger. I guess I just have to get used to it, but it's really not Weihrauch!

I live in Denmark so must get a 1.77 as .22 forbidden, however we have no muzzle velocity limit which is nice. What you think the all round best £200 (ish) rifle is. Preferable one also good for a lefty . Norma I
@bigdansairguns83
@bigdansairguns83 4 года назад
Hi Norma. Ah now that's a difficult one. It all comes down to what you intend on using it for and what you like/don't like. If you don't mind heavier rifles my money would be on the SMK XS20 as even out of the box they're superb to shoot. The Remington Sabres are exceptional as well and Hatsan make some very good springers. If you'd rather something a bit more petite then I'd recommend the XS19 which should leave you around £80 for upgrades. For that money you could get an upgraded trigger and a drop in kit to make the rifle extremely smooth and quiet to shoot. There's also the HW99S if you can source one sub £200 but be careful as they can gall themselves. At the end of the day it all comes down to your personal preferences and what you feel fits you the best. Thanks Norma!

It maybe a better idea to use the rifles for a week putting a hundred pellets through it every day then doing the review and accurracy tests , good procedural testing , but sounds a bit wacky , btw like the stock and the look not the price, prefer my FX T12, nice gun though if had spare cash maybe tempted.
@bigdansairguns83
@bigdansairguns83 4 года назад
Hey mate, I've thought about reviewing the accuracy over stages however the issue with that is time constraints on my part, not just because of video length but also as it'd potentially take weeks to review just one rifle. At the moment most of our reviews are with rifles that are taken straight out of the box as it's exactly how the customers will get their rifles. This way we can give the most accurate representation of what viewers can expect from each rifle.

Hi Countryside guy. The Storms are incredibly accurate, bear in mind that the rifle wasn't even close to being run in and yet we could still get 5p groups. Hi Ian. That does sound pretty awful mate, surprising too because as far as I'm aware the Marvic Gold shares the same action as the Storm and uses the NATS trigger.
