Not bad for a four person busking band, who had just finished "I Shot the Sheriff" 😄 Of COURSE it's not going to sound like the originals-----thanks for your breakdown, and understanding.
Glad you liked it. Paranoid was the first album I ever bought when I was younger. They did it justice. Always going to be here for a Ren reaction. You both are a pleasure to watch
The “Satan Laughing spreads his wings “ is my favorite line in War Pigs but other than that I thought it worked for what they were doing. I love Zakk ❤️🔥🎸
Can relate..the first way you hear the song usually becomes the standard. Changes are not usually welcome. A couple Black Sabbath performances did not measure up to the standard for me but they were always big. A cover has to be dead on or else recognizable but very different, as this one was. Black Sabbath- big done on the streets would probably get noise complaints. The crowd engagement is a big part of the enjoyment of live performances.
Honestly for me..I prefer the Zakk Sabbath performance of War Pigs over all of anything, even the original(s) . Just absolutely smaaashes, and I'm all for it. I might be a bit biased because I love wylde but those boys bring it hard in that cover. This live performance was sick fun and that's what it's all about!!
I'm a musician and played in bands for 20 yrs......you obviously have. Take it for what it is, they're busking. Out on the streets, its supposed to be raw. I know you said its great but you look too deep into it. As I said, they rock up up in Brighton, put a spin on famous songs and entertain the streets. Nothing more nothing less
Some cover songs The Big Push do I actually like better than the original but this isnt one of them. Its a vibey jammy twist and great but you can out do Ozzy lol. "Sympathy for the Devil" they did of the rolling stones isnt one of my favorites either. But they are still cool
