If that tractor was just heavier it's got the power to pull it. I like it when you started to slip real bad and hit the diff lock she started griping then putting then wide R2s to work
That is hard on the differential when you engage the diff lock when one tire is spinning under high load, try to engage it before you put the disc down
This is the type of disc that will rip out small trees and willows and such to create new farm land. Insanely heavy with huge discs. We used an Allis Chalmers model in the day, even thiugh it wasn't wide, it took our 4wd Allis 8550 to use effectilvelu
My experience with R2 tyres is they don't give good traction in the dry fields. But they really shine in the muddy fields with water. Put some tyres with grip that are closer like the case and ballast her... she will haul ass.
Work the ground twice. Running at a slight angle from the first pattern on the second pattern. Setting the depth deeper on the second pattern should work as the ground has been worked before in the first pattern.
The problem with this video is it was "on the spot" ... the tractor actually pulls the disk pretty well ... but, the camera person only showed up momentary and wanted footage for a video, which I provided by a quick disking... had the camera person actually came when we were operating correctly- and in full swing - it would have made for a better video ....... check out some of our other Big G disking videos .....
49.000lbs Big G 1818 if that disc was bogg down to the spools a D8K couldn't think about pulling it. I almost bought one of these to disc watermelon land for planting. I have a JD 660 skidder I thought I could pull the balls off it!!! When the rep from G came oout to take a look I was so iAshamed !!!! I didn't even try it any more one he showed up !!! About 3 maybe 4" inches is the max for me. Skidder has 475hp. 665 cid .turbo inline 6 OH.....WELL!!!!!
doesn't appear to have much weight.. and those rice tires don't look like they are flexing any. either need less air or they are bias. that would make a difference
They are radial .... R2 tires do not grip well on dry ground (minimal soil to lug contact) .. time second pas was made - and loose earth for the tires to grab - it worked good
You need something to pull that disc with start by maybe getting tons of weights for the tractor and or drag the disc downhill cause what you got is not doing it up hill
Gave you a like. Not here to hate. Any chance you have any vids where conditions are more suitable and this tractor is actually able to pull this harrow? Would just like to see the big John work.
mrih1586 .. thank you for the like and for asking .... I used a D8T cat to pull it most of the time ... if you go through my video list you see some others if it in action ...it pulled hard! After a couple passes the 9560R would find traction at that point it would actually pull it. ... I sold that disk to a contractor in Washington
Thanks for taking the time to reply. Don't want to wear out my welcome. Did catch the other videos. But was wondering, if you had fluid in the tires and or any other added weight?
Thanks for asking ... on a tire of that size Firestone does not recommended using fluid .. the wheels were custom made - so wheel weight boss's were not stamped into them - front weights could have been added but not sure how much it would help ... One the surface got "tore up" the tire bit in much better - actually so well - the tractor ran out of power before traction ...
actually so well - the tractor ran out of power before traction ... Now that's the way I like it. But I'm an old school farmer. Did watch you pull pans with it. Still too much slippage for me. Never got to run an articulated tractor. Their wasn't one in in the entire county when I retired. (My area not suited for big time farming.) Always wanted to pull a pan with one. Though many have told me that's their least favorite job. BTW, did the 9560 pull the big disk better than the lower hp Steiger 400?
@@kevindavis6699 thanks very much for watching..... also, I actually sold that disc to a contractor in Washington- they were going to use it for road building ..... if you want to see that disc in action on my channel- check out some of the other videos on it- most of the time we pulled it with our D8T (video of it on my channel) .. and later we pulled it some with our case stieger (video of it on my channel as well)
Simple fix the horsepower is not getting used properly more weight especially on the nose load her up and less air pressure then she will walk the dog for ya Thanks for the video keep them coming
Thanks for tanking time to comment.... R2 tires like to sit on top of hard ground .. couple passes later though she bit in .... camera person chose poor time to show up ..lol ... thanks for watching
What is he doing? Testing it out? Well, it failed. That is either too much disk for that machine, or the ground is frozen. To pull that disk at depth he needs a tracked Challenger. Or a Quadratrac.
Clearly that tractor has the wrong set up to pull that disk plus I would guess that tractor does not have the HP needed to pull it at the proper speed as the ground speed is too slow.
Black earth, I would say it is an issue of the tractor being too light and under powered. Tracks will not allow for a jump in ground speed (a higher gear) even if they give the traction needed to pull that implement. If that tractor is to pull that Implement it needs to be 5k to 10 k heavier but it still will not do anything for ground speed. More HP is also needed.
it had plenty of Horsepower .... after a few passes - or where the tires could contact the ground and provide optimal traction - it pulled it well ....... Most of the time we pulled that disk with a CAT D8T - which didnt have near the HP of a 9560 - but way more tractive effort
Todavía no puedo entender xq semejante herramientas si peso.
Jeff Sartain I don't follow your statement. Are you saying it is the wrong gear because he is going slow? It is running in the correct gear for the horsepower that is required to pull the disk. If you use a higher gear, the tractor runs out of horsepower.
BLACK EARTH EXCAVATION & TRENCHING, LLC just drop some air pressure from the tires ( i hope they are radial tubeless) more contact with ground more traction, add some weight to tractor once again - traction and yeah its going to slow in Europe we are driving about 11km/h with disc harrows sorry for my english, greetings from Poland
He's going the right speed for what he was doing. I'd like to see him go out in the corn stalks to see what the disc would do. Damn that thing is heavy.
Great another arm chair expert ...come fill out an application .. oh wait you wont ... hollar upstairs to your mom and let her know your mtdew is getting warm and needs more ice
After a couple passes it would pull it ... most of the time we used a D8T - there is video of it on the channel .... as an overall - you really have no clue what your talking about
