I found out a long time ago that although Concord grapes smell great and make good jams and jellies, their flavor is not very good when eaten raw. JMO.
I just bought some grapes from Walmart about two weeks ago. They were the most bland grapes I've ever had in my life. The were juicy enough, but had no taste or sweetness of any kind. It was like eating solid water. Threw them out. I'll avoid grapes from them from now on.
The country I live in imports most of its grapes from US. If they are fresh into the supermarket, I seldom have a problem with either taste or sweetness.
I NEVERRRR buy fresh fruit or veggies from Walmart........it's all outta the country, shipped in😮 I go to Kroger for ALL mine, local fresh from my community 😊
A word to the wise: wash your grapes. A rinse under cool running water may work, it's better to use a fruit and vegetable wash with the water. I bought some grapes at Publix a few weeks ago. I ate them right out of the bag, like always. I vomited for over 2 days. I won't be making that mistake again!
