2 weeks will let you see a "region" of the USA. Fall is THE season for football. Fall is a beautiful time to visit upstate New York and New England. The changing colors of the leaves are wonderful!!

I'm exceptionally excited for you, Marie! I know it has been a goal of yours for a long time. The US has so much to see. Aside from the cities, the national parks have so much natural beauty. I'm sure you're trying to carefully plan to maximize the time you have, but I'm certain you'll find you need to visit again. I look forward to your future updates. Take good care and look after yourself!

Wow!! This is HUGE!! I'm so excited for you Marie!! I can't wait to hear all about your trip and all the things you'll see and do. You will have a fantastic time in the US!! Things do slow down a bit in the fall, but not completely, so be sure to plan ahead, and get any tickets for things you want to do that require them as soon as you can. You won't have enough time, even in 2 weeks, to travel very far here in the US. It's so big here and things are so far apart. This is great news!! Yay!!! 🤗✨ PS. I know the news is pretty dark right now, but all that stuff is the worst of the worst - so much of our country is not like that at all. You'll be just fine while you're here. Just use common sense and go with your gut. You have great instincts! 😃

Congratulations! When you do eventually go to New Orleans, you also need to visit the National WWII Museum there. It was founded following the popularity of The Band of Brothers series as the National D-Day Museum (you've spent time at the Normandy landing locations) but was then expanded to cover the entire scope of WWII. Fascinating place.

Hi Marie, great to hear your visiting the states.. ask your contacts on ware to stay in any states. I was born and raised in NY, but now live in NJ, when visiting NY I recommend that you stay just over GW Bridge in Fort Lee, Great Asian city and seconds from NY..(Double Tree Hotel is fine.. God bless and have lots of fun...)

You should be able to see a baseball game if you come to the U.S. in early fall. The regular season ends on October 5. The playoffs will begin after that, and only a few teams will be involved (and the tickets will be expensive and hard to get). Some terrible things have happened in the U.S. recently, but the chances that something will happen to you are very low. Of course, you should use common sense regarding your safety, but I'm sure you'll be fine. You will have no trouble finding things to do. You could spend the two weeks just in New York City without getting bored, although I'm sure you'll want to visit other places. Boston and Philadelphia aren't too far from NYC. If the timing is right, you might want to take a trip to see the fall colors in a place like upstate New York or Vermont. Whatever you do, I'm sure you'll have a great time!

Salut Marie! You mentioned that you'll be going to an NFL (American Football) game while here in the US this Fall. I messaged you once some time ago that the NBA (Basketball) will have an actual regular season game between the Chicago Bulls and the Detroit Pistons in Paris, France in January 2023. I hope that you can go there and see that game in person! ~Be Blessed

What wonderful news Marie 🤩 I know this is a big dream of yours and I know you'll have a great time. I'm so happy you'll get to see an American Football and baseball game. I think you'll really enjoy the atmosphere around them. New York is a nice place to visit and I agree, two days is probably the best thing there. Can't wait to hear more about your trip and to see the videos when you get there. Take care, stay safe, and keep hydrated 🤗🥰

Bonjour Marie! Well, I did guess correctly that you were coming to the US. My second guess was Canada (Quebec!) NYC and DC are both great places to go, but I think both are better in the Spring than the Fall (just me personally.) I think the Mid-West (Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit, Minneapolis, etc...) are nicer in the Fall than many other places in the US. I don't think you have much to worry about in terms of your safety. I hope that you can arrange a "meet and greet" so some fans can meet you. Hotels and police departments can arrange safe meet ups (police do it for first dates as well as selling items especially high valued items,) and hotels can arrange a meeting room within the hotel and provide help with any security needs. It doesn't even have to be the hotel you stay at (which would be better for your privacy/safety!) I hope that you have an amazing time here in the US! Bonne journee! ~Be Blessed

Aye finally the trip is happening! It's awesome you have the chance to visit my favorite country, the US I hold dear to my heart. Well Washington DC and New York are a great start for a first time visit. You'll definitely need to plan the trip well since you're counting with only 2 weeks, there is really so much to experience it's almost endless. Since you'll be in DC, check out the Downtown area, u got museums, memorials, parks, theaters, you name it. Also you will get to see the Washington monument where the famous 4th of July firework show happens. In regards to NYC definitely check out the big city, but also do check upstate New York and New England as @Lioninwinter suggested. Don't miss out on the NYC Pizza!!! It's good you still have time to plan this out very well. I'm really happy for you, you definitely gonna have a blast, trust me! I'm also jealous, you have no idea how much I would love to go back to the states. Anyway this is awesome, we also gonna get lots of new content as well. Can't wait! My best wishes Marie! And Remy hope u get well soon. BTW: most of the events you see on the News, do happen, but are not representative of the American society. The news just tries to portray like the whole country is like that, and it's not. You'll most likely find great people that will be willing to help you out in any way.

Just an opinion, but you can see a big, dirty city anywhere in the world. If you spend all that time and money traveling to the US, I would highly recommend avoiding NYC and LA. They're just American versions of London, Paris, etc.. Not to mention you'll spend a small fortune staying in either of those cities for 2 weeks. As someone whose traveled most of the US(and is a US native) I would recommend going to either Florida or Texas. Those are both states where you could spend the day time experiencing incredible nature, then in the evening head into any number of cities for some amazing nightlife. I don't think a tourist could get a more "full" experience anywhere else in the country outside of TX or FL.

Congrats, happy for you. I don't know how much you can travel, but I was going to suggest multiple trips here to the States over a few years. America is HUGE, and it may be smart to divide it in 6ths. Northwest, North Central, and Northeast, and then the same with the south. This way you can choose what and where to go and have it generally closer. Just a suggestion, can't wait to see the vids.

WOW Marie!!! This is so exciting for you, and I love seeing such fun and pure excitement in your face and smile in this video 😊❤! You, as always, put in careful thought about what you are doing, and that will suit you well with this trip. NYC, where my cousin lives, is an amazing place, and does have its dangers (especially right now) and so does DC where you are flying into, so please DO keep your SAFETY at a premium (MOST important 🙏). Travel time is quite long in the U.S., and there are lots of problems across the country with plane flight cancellations and delays, so you are right to limit the distance you need to go. I know Texas will not get to host you this time, but my hope is we will get to some other time you visit again :) . I am so looking forward to seeing you share your travels with us . . . that is exciting for me 😊! By the way, your English will stand up strong to any challenges, as you do so well with it right now! And now I saw Remy on his crutches, so I again send him my wishes for a quick recovery ☺. I will think of questions to ask you, but I also agree with you that you must keep many things to yourself for your safety!!! The football and baseball comment caught my attention. Football season starts September 8th and the regular season games in baseball end on October 2nd. The post-season (play offs and World Series are throughout the month of October. Post-season tickets are more expensive. Something to consider. Also, you need to take into account the handful of teams participating in the play offs and where they are geographically. As it stands now, the New York Yankees will definitely be in the play offs (an quite likely the World Series - very expensive and hard to get). The New York Mets will probably be in the play offs too. The other east coast teams....eh, not so much. But, things could change. If you come before Oct. 2nd, you could catch the Washington Nationals in DC (they're having a horrible year, hopefully they'll be playing someone worth watching) or the Phillies in Philadelphia, PA or the Red Sox in Boston, MA , and of course the Yankees and Mets in NYC. You spoke at length about safety concerns - avoid Baltimore (Orioles) it isn't safe. It's a historically relevant city, it had it's good days in the past, but it's just not safe these days. Have fun while you're here! Maybe I'll see you at a Houston Astros game on your future trip to Texas.

I'd like to invite you to Wisconsin as it is beautiful in fall with the trees turning color. We have great football and baseball teams. Much of the state is smaller towns but we are close to Chicago and have Milwaukee in Wisconsin. While crime in big cities is sometimes high, small towns don't have the same. Also, a day trip to bigger cities are fun. We love in Pewaukee, right on Pewaukee lake. Fishing, sailing, waterskiing or just boat rides are fun.

the northeast isn't bad just be aware of what is around you during new york as you never know. a lot of big french chefs are in NYC like Eric Ripert of La Bernardin and of course anthony Bourdain who worked Les Halles for years. These two chefs changed the face of french cuisine in america to a more modern version using new techniques and ingredients found from their travels across the globe. New york city is also very close to the Hudson valley where most of the fresh produce comes from that gets into NYC minus the exotic imports. New york needs at least three days to see no fooling, it allows you to see more without messing up the two week time. Washington Dc is really not much besides the monuments and museums as you literally have to go into Arlington to get anything. Dc does have every embassy of most countries just a few that we kicked out due to politics. Maryland is ok. the northeast is nice just when autumn comes as the trees start bursting into color which you will see. just if you see the Amish avoid them as its very rare to see them outside their isolated communities.

Two different American football games, professional and college. They are very different atmospheres even though the game is essentially the same. Going to DC and New York is going to limit you to the eastern US for this trip. There is plenty to see within a 6 hour (max) drive from place to place. Before leaving DC you should dip a little south and see Mt Vernon VA, the home of George Washington and Arlington Cemetery with the Tomb of the Unknown. See Philadelphia PA the first Capitol of the US and a short drive to Gettysburg which is THE pivotal battlefield of our Civil War and will take a whole day to see. Then NY (city and upstate Niagra Falls area) and Boston and New England on the way back to DC to fly out.

Hey Marie, Im so exited for you. I wish you could go to the Southwest, so you could catch a rodeo. But since you'll be on the East coast, you defenately have to see the fall colors in vermont, and be sure to see a Broadway play in New York. Niagra falls would be great too. Safe travels, and don't worry, its much safer than it seems watching the news. One personal request if I may. Please see the site at the twin towers. I havent been able to vist there to pay my respects.

That's wonderful news. I hope you have someone here to show you around. I also hope you get out and see the countryside of America. Maybe this will be one of many trips to the states. One day in NYC is enough and if you have time, go and see a play. You will never forget how cool it is. I want to help you out so I will donate so you have a good experience. Stay well and be safe.

omg, omg, omg, omfg. Yeah!! So happy that a trip to the US is finally happening for you. Your knowledge of the English language will be a big advantage. Since you are arriving in Wash. DC, you can travel by train to go to many places up and down the east coast. That will save you the cost, etc compared to renting a car. But renting car does give you a lot of freedom. Yes, there is danger in US (and everywhere in the world) when you travel, but as you said, there is nothing you can do about it. Travel smart, pack lightly, and ask some of your friends/family that have traveled overseas for tips on traveling. Of course, we are here to answer any questions you may have.

I am so happy for you I know this has been a dream!!! You will be fine in the US. You are more likely to get hit by lightning then have anything you see in the news happening to you. If you are going to NY you realistically will only get to see the North East US. Honestly that is really the best way to visit is go by region.

New York is super dangerous right now.

Probably safer than most of the super big cities. It’s not Chicago or Los Angeles that’s for sure.
