Chris talks about his finding music, his relationship with his dad, his feelings on his father's physical abuse, his limited relationship with Fat Joe, and more.
what a down to earth dude nothin but positivity radiating from this man, hip hop needs more dudes like this and he has his own creativity trying to make his own image not trying to reincarnate his father
The Only one yes and his two sisters including the mom all talented in there own way...He's real humble they went through a lot and have learned to appreciate the things that these other rappers kids wouldn't understand. The only one that should be praised for actually rapping and being so knowledgeable.
That kid raps so good... But he rambles so much in this interview hahaha Thats beside the point, chris rivers is the lyricist whos dad happens to be big pun, not the other way around. Very talented young rapper, and if he continues working hard he could be one of the greatest. RIP Pun, we miss you
A very Talented & Handsome young-man. His Mom did a wonderful job raising him. Good Job Liza(Hug). I love how he talk hes down for his Mom you can tell. And he don't sugarcoat his Dad mess.Proud of you Chris. You seems like such a Sweetie Pie. I wish him much success in his music career.
That's cause bigs son is not big, we can't expect every kid of a rapper celeb will be a dope rapper. Rapping is fucking hard to do, lots of ppl can't do it.
Tyrone Davidson Dumbass course he wasn't, have you not seen his freestyle or studio sessions footage, especially interviews about him? BIG's work ethic was slow and relaxed. He would take his time to make lyrics by making them in his head. BIG spits lyrics from his own songs as freestyles in some freestyles on RU-vid. He didn't write his lyrics down on pen and pad.
Actually seen this dude all by his dolo in a bodega around my way on Burke ave in the Bronx. Mad humble and very respectful. I spoke about how his pops is a legend and said he was dumb nice with his craft also. I now see how much he’s trying to carvehis own lane for himself and not be in his dads shadow
Its really good how much he knows how good his father was. He was a beast forreal. I didnt know him as a person, but i hate when people talk about personal demons in people once they have passed on. It makes you torn as a fan, such a rap legend, but his private life was a mess....
Awesome interview, his father is a legend and passed down his talent to his son. I truly hope I get to see more of Chris Rivers, he did the damn thing on that freestyle.
Bro he's only 22 maybe 23 today and he's a fucking MONSTER like whaaaaaaaat his shit blows my fucking mind he took that Pun flow and enhanced it and took to a whole different level
Listening to Big Pun son is like a a spirit inside his son cuz he talked just like him and look just like him rest in peace Big Pun and good luck little pun
i only found out who chris rivers like 3 nights ago when i performed in Elmhurst, NY and Chris came up to me after my performance and complimented me. now that i see who he is thats insane and Im so stoked to collab with him
Like fateher, like son. Dude is nice with the flow. Biggie's son also raps. The only great deceased lyricist who didn't leave a son in this world is none other than 2Pac. I wish he would've had a boy to carry his legacy on like Biggie's and Big Pun's sons are doin'. It would've been dope 2 hear a song with Big Pun's son,Biggie's son and 2Pac's son.
Just listened to the tape, he's nice as hell. He sounds like his pop when he speaks but when he spits he reminds me more of a mix of Ransom and Immortal Technique. But overall I like his shit, haven't heard hip hop that made me smile in a long ass time. Expecially how he flipped "that nigga shit" to "that ratchet shit"..... RIP PUN
He sounds just like his father. Lo unico que tengo que desil es al hijo, que siga la tribu del pai Nanmean keep his spirit alive litle pun. Dj chino from hartford ct.
Chris Rivers you are the son of a true Legend in the culture, but i know and cant wait untill You take over the Game and take it back to its roots. You are the next best thing Chris Rivers (B.p) youre the best & everyone will wait & see. Keep it up Chris i belive in you B.p.!!!
He has a good head on his shoulders and I just downloaded his mixtape. Holy shit he's NICE. He sounds like his pop but with a chip on his shoulder. The kid is really talented. WOW I'm shocked. And this is coming from a Nas fan since 96 who loves lyricism. Kid is nice.
It's over Chris Rivers baby taking over the rap game just like his pop did represent Puerto Rico Weppppppppaaaa Stand up From Strong Island to the Bronx we Live baby we got your back C.Rivers
Heartwarming interview. Definitely the best I've seen off hot97 in months if not a year or so. Good luck Chris! You got a lot of goodwill behind ya! Make sure you get fire, beautiful beats (not "oh this is what's hot right now" beats --- I'm talking beautiful funky or laidback stuff that'll last) and just slaughter them with great rhymes and voice. ONE
yo i just went to datpiff and his mixtape his serious check that shit out cause he is going to continue where his pops left off and then some you heard.BX forever til infinite
this dude is asking super personal questions that he like always wanted answered that nobody but him cares about, and it seems like hes almost mad at the kid when he says his dad had problems lmao
He seem's like a good kid, who did listen and got it.Remember the old saying, don't do as i do,do as i say., Don't be like me be better than me?. I think that Pun had know idea when he would go, but his time was near. And that might have been the reason for him going so hard on his only son. And i think he tought fast, and Chris Rivers learned with the same pace. I hope he does well. And R.I.P BIG PUN....
