i think big pun was such a good mc and him being from New York and it being the 90s some label or promoter would of snatched him up and even with joe giving a platform the rest of the work was done by pun its not like joe made any of the beats or wrote puns rhymes ?or even got him a deal it was Steve from loud that did that ?and even if joe gave pun all these platforms i don't think that gives him the right to keep all or most of the publishing from all 3 of puns albums puns family deserve some of the $

Robert Munro Actually if you studied Pun's history you would discover prior to being Pun he was known as Big Moon Dog and his rhyme content lacked mass appeal. That is until Joe schooled him on what was hip and made him more accessible to the masses. Joe also linked Pun to some of the hottest in the game the publishing issue is a separate one which I find it difficult to speak on without all the facts.

The whole hood treated me like a star as I walked away. I will always treasure that moment. The other time we met was when he came out to great all the Pun fans standing in line in the cold outside of Ortiz funeral home in Parkchester. Nothing but love and respect for Joe and the whole TS. I saw that interview a while back. I remember distinctly when Chris Rivers said that when he was 6 years old, none of them provided for him

If you watch the interview again, take notice of how little Chris pays homage and at the same time establishes the foundation for progress in his own lane! I was raised on old school music; from country music to old school R&B, to classic rock music and P funk music and soul music; also jazz and classical down to pop music and norteno to Tejano music and so on and so on. I’m a 1983 baby and I’m blessed to be able to say that I was there for the golden age of hip hop; and Chris Rivers is a rare specimen for his class and age.
