brian smart I need a cane from time to time as well. But, I’ll warn you this one is a bit heavy. The last time I looked this one was $119.00 on the www.budk.com website.

I was checking the spec's on the cane from fashionable and it's base on the kit rae It's has a Damascus blade, genuine leather and built for actual daily support. This would account for the $100 higher price maybe.

Yeah, I figured that out later. First or second unboxing & I was pretty nervous & not thinking it through.

The rubber ring that I was just a little too stupid to figure out is supposed to hold the tsuba (hand guard) in place.

@@andrewsheridan612 Japan had crap steel back than, so historical german swords were better than japanies, and yes better as the catana as well. And the german and european swords could be used in fight better as an catana because of the form of the handguard and the knob and so on. The catana is just famous and hyped because of movies. And because they show nice and fancy moves in the movies. I don´t say that a good japan catana is crap but compared to a german longsword it sucks in so many ways.

Another typhoon came along and smashed the mongol ships, i will point out that the typhoons were Samurai Typhoons, any mongols that reached land were slaughtered not one survived, during this time, the smiths had been experimenting with the steel they made their swords with, and came up with the steel we see today, It was the best steel the world was to see, one thing, its spelt Katana, and the handle is called the Tsuka, the Katana is a proven weapon, its also the most collected sword around the world today, no other sword is collected like the katana, your kraut swordsmen after two minutes would be knackered, where as the Samurai would go for a 20 mile run and then decapitate your kraut swordsmen..

Everybody kisses Gil Hibben's butt and few people ever talk about Kit Rae. He's really an unsung hero when it comes to designing modern fantasy pieces. He doesn't get enough praise for the stuff he designs for United. I have daggers he made back in the 80s and absolutely love them. They're all such cool designs.

That’s Penny. She’s my best friend. Lol. She really is a good cat. Took her in as a rescue 6 years ago and we quickly became friends. 4 weeks ago I was in a motorcycle accident that left me wheelchair bound for the next couple of months. She has been stuck to me since I got home from the hospital. She goes to eat and use her litter box but, other than that she never lets me out of her sight.

Vroom Box Not stupidity at all Brother I'd of had those same butterflies we used to get Christmas morning just as I saw the tree. I make knives tomahawks and had one guy who's GF paid me to make him a tomahawk for his Bday and when they pulled up here upon seeing me He had saw one of my hawks before so he was already adding 2 and 2. I told her it was in the shop on my little Rail road track anvil wrapped in a old scrap of leather he got so exsited he was jumping up and down like folks do on the price is right dropped the hawk and thankfully had steel toes on cause it cut the leather of the boot down to the steel if he had been wearing tennis or God forbid flip flops He would of lost or came close to losing a toe. 1st time if ever heard someone tell me it was to sharp lol But I get worked up anytime I open a new blade I can't imagine a whole box of them.BTW SHINWA makes some nice blades iv heard and blades for every budget. Alfonso Alonzo if they are available you really can’t beat the ones I’ve purchased from true swords/budK. There’s no guarantee of what you will get but, it’s only $40.

You can usually tell by the material of the handle. Most katanas use Stinkray skin and the wrapping is super tight.

True but still worth $40. I would give 40 for that fake or not

I think its obvious to everyone when they are made in China. The full size one was much higher quality than the crappy 3 set though.

Pretty much. Those stamped stainless blades are useless except for decoration. The Shinwa & Ten Ryu blades on the other hand are extremely well made and really can’t be beat for the price.
