BIG Spider Does Something Unexpected!

This huge spider walks up my arm and then does something very surprising! This BIG spider is a type of Wolf Spider and she lets me hold her, until... The Carolina Wolf Spider is the biggest Wolf Spider in the US. Wolf Spiders can be scary but are not agressive animals, but they can be pretty formidable predators that chase down and pounce upon their prey. #shorts #animals #nature

Slightly diff story. When I was a teen, my parents had a PC in the living room, and it was under a big shelf like thing. At night because it was hot I would open the back door which was feet away. Let that breeze in. This of course meant moths would occasionally fly in too. So, as I sat there in the dark typing away on the computer, I was used to moths flopping around. Landing on me or the desk etc. One night they got bad. Every few minutes a tiny or large moth would flop around the light of the computer screen. I just ignored them. Well, I was typing some code as I was learning HTML for web design and suddenly a SUPER HUGE moth flops right next to my right hand on the keyboard. I didn’t even look at it. I was used to this. Plus, I needed to squint and focus as it was dark and the screen wasn’t giving off much light. So, no need to look. I kept typing away and when I was done with my batch of code I then decided to look as I noticed it was moving. Well, it wasn’t a moth. It was the largest Wolf Spider I had ever seen. I guess it climbed up the shelf. My mom had tons of stuff from the floor and higher so it would have easily done so. I froze. I was just 14 so I didn’t know jack about spiders. It obviously thought my typing hands were a moth or something and decided to leap down from above. Then noticed the target was bigger than it could handle, and it froze. Staring at my hand. It was a good 60 seconds before I even looked down and seen it wasn’t a moth. It sure didn’t help me like spiders lol. As soon as I yanked my hand away it ran into the dark on the desk. I spent the rest of the night with my chair a good 2 feet away from the desk and I would lean in and type. LOL.

First, wow. I am in my fourties and I don't know the first thing about coding, impressive. Secondly, wow. When I was 14 or even just a couple years ago, I am pretty sure I would have just passed out or shot through the roof like a rocket. Big spider or any spider would scare the crap out of me for sure , lol. Even now, I would likely be very startled to find it was a spider lol. I love the story, great one and thank you!

@@chrisegnoto Even better story for ya. This one is straight up nightmare fuel. Im 42. Same house. I had kids now so we took the house over when my parents moved. They owned the home. Anyways, my at the time 3 year old son came bursting out the tub nakey and jumped on the couch waiting for mom to dress him. At the same time my wife yells for me as their is a HAND SIZED huntsman spider running up the wall on the other side of the living room. [near that back door lol] So, i come in and grab the broom and was planning to squash it. Everyone is piled into the kitchen except my 3 year old son still sitting on the couch all nakey n stuff. Just watching me. Im far away on the other side so all was fine. I take the broom and i smack it on the spider. The brushes of the broom hit it so it actually didnt kill or injure the spider. Just pressed him against the wall. I notice this and decide to SMUDGE him across the wall. Hoping that it will be enough to have the brushes of the broom at least injure it so it doesnt run away. Well....this is where all hell breaks lose. I pressed SUPER hard as i swiped the broom across the wall. My logic was i needed to in order for enough bresure of the soft brushes to do anything to the spider. Well, because i was pressing so hard, when i swiped i ended up slipping forward enough that it shot the spider across the living room and RIGHT BETWEEN MY SONS LEGS. As soon as it landed on his downstairs mixup......we all froze. My son slowly looks down and screams. The spider leaped into the air. Over and over trying to get away. My son just sees his weewee with a hand sized huntsman bouncing between his legs like it was on a trampoline. I was on the other side in front of son so it was jumping away from me. It couldnt get a grip on my sons wet skin so it ended up jumping in place. I just remember him screaming while hold still and i see eight legs 3 times go up in the air. Eventually it leaped off him and on the floor. Needless to say it scared him severly. Thankfully he was young. 13 now and we never told him that story.

I've found the fear of spiders to be completely irrational. I'd say people should be more afraid of flies and mosquitoes. Spiders have never attacked me, bothered me. They've never landed on my head or ran over me unless by pure chance. And if they're sitting quietly, they usually remain that way unless something or someone disturbs them. Not the most social animals out there but hey, they're actually very calm and collected animals.

@masterjunko
@masterjunko 4 месяца назад
@@resonanceofambition That's exactly what a phobia is, an irrational fear. Honestly, that's what makes it harder for me to get over my fear. I respect then, and I do hate and fear insects that you mentioned as well, but I just get a visceral reaction to anything crawling on me, but I'd hate to kill a spider. I know if one crawled on me, my first instinct would be to swipe it quickly before stopping myself hesitantly, which would likely prompt it to want to bite with the initial panicked movement. Edit: Spiders and house centipedes have crawled on me before as well, even though they're supposed to stay away from humans as much as possible, which doesn't help my fear.
@stillnobuddy

House centipedes have too many legs and are too fast, they also freak me out. That being said, I love and respect them both and never harm them intentionally. Good day mate. I love to go to 🇦🇺 it's my 2nd favorite country. Deadliest too. I love 🕷️ but I don't fuck with deadliest 3 on 🌍. Tied a #2 Sydney funnel 🕸 🕷️ and Phoneutria Brazilian wandering 🕷️. #1 deadliest most venomous 🕷️ on 🌍 Is Sicarius 6 👀 sand 🕷️ no antivenom yet. But fangs are small and only found in middle eastern and African 🏜. No normal 🇺🇸 citizen is going to the middle east or northern Africa. And odds of finding 1 is extremely remote.

New River Gorge has spiders that swim downriver in groups numbering in the hundreds of thousands. They almost look like a weird black moss until they drop in and you're surrounded by a whole fkn net of creepy water spiders. Arachnophobes beware
