17 inchers on a daily driven E30.... lol I'm not gonna turbo an ETA motor with over 300K miles lol... like I was saying, glad to finally see an E36 doing something but look good.
Thumbs up just for it not being a corvette, gtr, supra, mustang, camaro, civic, mr2, etc etc etc. Well done...specially for keeping the BMW engine in it. 👍
We all lost a remarkable human being. He never met a stranger, would give you the shirt off his back. If you’ve ever had the chance to hang out with him, you’ll know that every moment was filled with laughter and love. He was a caring person. Brooklyn was like a big brother to me, and I will miss him dearly. Him and his entire family are truly amazing people. R.I.P my brother. Gone too soon
I'm a Chevy and VW guy but it's nice to see a fast car without a Chevy engine. Everyone is running LS blocks. It nice to see what other engines are capable of.
finally a BMW everyone dont trash taln about my and my girl got a e46 bmw we want to build but its takes time onces he said "me and my wife nuild this" she got soo happy and said that will be us prettie soon😀
+Cory Schilpp well since it was his first day with the power glide and it looked like he could bring some of that power back in a little quicker once he hooked on the last one and he was close already
it'llbust into the 8's very soon im sure...just a few traction issues to sort and maybe a progressive boost controller,,i'm sayin it'll go 8.30's if he can throw the cash at it..I love to see a 4 door granny mobile at the track..awesome work as always 1320,keep it up..it helps us broke married fucks with kids still enjoy our evenings after work,,because we cant afford race cars!!!thanks fellas!!
I'm planning on buying an E30 with this motor on it until I finish my studies. I always loved bmw's so I think this is a great combination for begginers. Any advice about the motor?
john kanellis I have the later M44B19 in my car, but the M42B18 is VERY similar. Make sure you service it properly (as in, check, fill up and change oil often, make sure your filters are clean, that sorta stuff, especially if you're hooning it), let everything warm up and build oil pressure before driving hard, and have an eye on the cooling system. The water pumps are kinda crappy on them, and the system likes to get gunked up, at least with my car. I'm running an oversized eBay radiator, 2 electric fans and I flushed the whole system when installing those. Another thing that might be an issue is the timing chain. Mine is fine and hasn't given me issues, but I've heard about some M42s and M44s screwing them up. Not too widespread of a problem, tho. Oh, and my MAF went to shit twice in half a year, but the 3rd one is going strong for the 2nd year now.
MarchuxProductions Thanks for the info, any advice about what mods to do (or to not do)?? I was planning to raise the rev limiter to 7.000-7.200 rpm and maybe put a set of camshafts to achieve higher torque until the new redline. What do you suggest? Is it worthy or is it cheaper to just put a M50B25??
+Ltmonte we have one of those in my country, front of the car has been gutted for the v12 to fit. horrible weight distribution, runs only sideways on the track, pretty much useless. A proper INL 6 with a single turbo set up correctly will do the job just fine, example right in this video.
s52 is m3 motor from year 97-00 he is 328, main diffrence between blocks s52 m52 or m50 s50 is is oil fill cap, vanos, or bottom end, wich we both cant see, pay attention to details
Stock crankshaft and bearings, stock head even stock intake. Only mods are forged pistons and rods in order to withstand the boost. All the rest in the motor are stock even has stock ECU
+FrequencyOfThought The older engines weren't that bad, there are alternate ways to get around some of it too. The newer engines are special tool nightmares though.
+mytmousemalibu I've worked on 90's BMW's and fuck that. I admit my own car requires dozens of specialty tools and even a tool kit to work on the trans brand new was 5-10 k years ago for the set. Just saying fuck BMW engine bays. He got an adapter for the trans , exactly what I would of done. He has more confidence working on BMW's than I will ever have haha
+Alex Aymerich that's not the point though. He's not racing for a living, it's for fun. There will always be another tenth to shave off, but that's not what it's all about.
