Ron was a great guy and I enjoyed talking with him. Met him a few times through the years. Really had a chance to sit and hang out with him at the R/C 4 Link Nationals back in the early 2000's. I know that he's definitely missed!
Met Ron in 2013 or 2014 at an appearance in Virginia somewhere. I think Danville. Really nice guy but he seemed to believe some odd things. He started talking about NASCAR with me and went on a small rant about how NASCAR was fixed for Hendrick Motorsports and Jimmie Johnson in particular.
@@yojoeski he's probably right. Yesterday's conspiracy theorists and today's truth tellers. Don't judge a dead man for believing what he may have believed in. Who are you to judge such a great man like big Ron.
We have never stopped racing Taylor. We have averaged well over 700 show days each of the last 20+ years (except for 2020 obviously). Check out recent championships: bigfoot4x4.com/blog/team-bigfoot-championships/
This dealership is at the same intersection where Tom Meents' shop is nowadays. Can't quite figure out if it's on the same site, or if the Ford dealer in this video is now the Chevrolet dealer on the other side of the interstate, but it's the same interstate exit and general area.
I'm all for Ford! And I had the BigFoot toy as a grade school kid in the early/mid 80's. But they just smashed about $100,000 worth of GM trucks without knowing it then. Hated to see that as a fan of all trucks. As far as GM cars go...they could have smashed a line of brand new 1990 Vettes as far as I'm concerned.
