I just became the owner of a secondhand 2021 turquoise disc model. Found it on pinkbike because I don’t have the knowledge to source everything. I am super hyped though I went with this bike instead of the evasion or evasion lite mainly because the complete I got, the guy built it with a campy 2x10 and it’s perfect for where I live. I guess all of that isn’t really a question, but watching this video many a time made me realize I wanted this bike. So, thanks for your videos.
The canti yoke is too high. Lower it and you'll get more power. It looks like you're using the original cable stop in the front, admirable but newer beefier ones will reduce flex and increase power. For the front yoke , I guess you'll have to try to figure out a better spot for your like. Good braking power is definitely a higher priority than putting the light there. I'd just get a small front canti-rack and attach the light to that. If you were worried about weight (the rack) you wouldn't be riding with a brooks, right? Solid bike.
I haven’t yet, but I think it’d be pretty awesome! I’ve ridden my buddies lightning bolt and this is what inspired me to get the romanceur. The LB tubing is magical!
How do you find low trail with no front load? I’ve got a soma GR and I love it with no front load, also keeps some weight off the bike when you take the rack and bag off.
Nice bike! I have the blue one but it isn't built yet. Question: How did you get the M952 to work with a 36T cassette? I thought it can barely work with a 32 or 34T. Did you have to alter it?
Did you find it difficult to thread the dynamo wiring through the internal routing on the fork? Going to be giving it a shot on mine when the light arrives and was curious!
It wasn’t that hard for me to thread it through. I tied a string at the end so I could grab onto something with tweezers and pull it through. Research some diff methods and Im sure you’ll get it!
@@anthonysbike Sounds good, thanks for the tips! I was just curious given how comparatively small the bottom hole is, if it might be hard to fish out. The string + pliers might be how I start.
Good build! Why do all of our Canti Romanceurs end up the about the same? It is the weird color? Or that the road was so well laid before us with Ron's build?
The handlebars come back a little bit and the saddle is nearly almost all the way forward. The fit honestly feels a bit upright. I’m normally a 54cm ett guy, but an extra cm goes away fast when you set up your bars and shifters in a way. Also, my 54cm typical road bike has a 110mm stem. So lots to consider when talking about fit. Hope that helps!
