Sean Henry the other 250s are $2,500 more than the Rmz. For $2500 I can sell my forks and triple clamp then buy any older front end and gold valve the front and rear, port the head and deck it or run a taller piston or thinner head gasket, web cam and high performance valve springs. There’s no stock 250 that would come close. I win ama sanctioned 250A payout races on a 02 rm250 against the brand new huskys Ktm and Yamahas. My family owns a race shop and I’ve worked in some of the most predominant shops, there aren’t that many people maxing out their 250 four strokes, only the real race teams are ...rarely is an amateur privateer running those trick parts. If you took apart every bike at the track on race day 90% are not with billet cam or good port job and they’re running stock air forks. So for $8500 your rmz will destroy an $8500 yz250f/sx-f..... for $20,000 the Austrian bikes are gonna turn the fastest laps in my experience

Sean Henry what I’m getting at is you’re saying “the industry won’t mind them gone” but by “the industry” you must be referring to the top 40 250f riders in the country? Because dollar for dollar you’re going to reach 20 grand before the other bikes eclipse the Suzuki. Unless you’re like every other loser who just rides to take pictures and act cool, doesn’t care what place he comes in just as long as people know he races dirt bikes and is afraid people will think he’s poor without the electric start.

People praise Yamaha for their 250 and 125 2 stroke every year that never changed since 2006 besides just this year in 2022 and it has no e start either. I love my Suzuki and I have other brands too. They're a great stock bike

For sure I have a kx125 and an rm125 used to have a crf230 and the rm125 is by far the most fun I’ve ever had on anything of them riding my kx while the rm is blown up just isn’t the same and isn’t as fun

you ride a 450 rmz? how is the transition? my last bike was an 250 kx 2 stroke, i try a 2019 crf 450 and its more powerfull but i wonder if it's a good choice for my style of riding, i'm searchin for 2015/2016 RMZ 450 or i buy a 2 stroke yz 250 or tm 250 mx i don't know for the moment....

Well, DO NOT touch there new cars. My Mum bought a ex demo swift in 2018 in the U.K. it made us feel ill, I worked out that it was carbon monoxide and exhaust fumes poisoning. The company was awful to us, and I’m certain that they kept fixing it on the quiet, however the fixes didn’t last very long. Once loose bolts were found by the RAC (a breakdown agency) on the flange between the manifold and exhaust pipe, but it was hard to prove it was them. The U.K. government was useless to (no surprises there), and just worked with Suzuki. To my knowledge Suzuki no longer make the 1.2L dual jet engine now. We have had the exhaust replaced, and now open to breath the car is much faster. Now the engine needs a rebuild because now that is making funny noises and making us feel ill. It’s got a factory fitted basic AWD system on it to. It’s turned into a cute little project car, lol. The previous model swift and Suzuki dealers before were great. I would never buy any vechicle from Suzuki again.

@@vinceking7878 their motorcycles perform great, with engines that are durable and a chassis that can shred any berm, turn, or bank - a true earth surfer! Annnndddd the best part is that they are cheaper than other platforms, and have many aftermarket parts available to build it's character into whatever the rider desires. Just out of curiosity, what bike do you currently own, or what bike do you plan to own? Thanks

They are some of the most reliable moto engines out there. I have over 150 (high revving) hours on my 17’ 450 bottom end. Every oil change i clean the metal strainer, its clean as a whistle every time(maybe a lil clutch material 🤷🏼‍♂️) . Did 1st top end at 60 hrs, valves were still in spec and jug was in great shape. Still on same piston been bout 70/80 hrs. Starts 2nd kick every time. Just checked valves, still in spec! These engine are literally juggernauts. I have 3 racing seasons on this bike. Lots of gate starts and many many times bouncing the limiter.

I sure don't miss it, my 09 RMZ 450 would be impossible to start when hot after a tip over. It would be one thing if it's the lightest in class due to the kicker, but nope.

I've owned 2 rm 250s. 2001 and 2002 and 1 rm 125. A 2003. All 3 were incredible bikes, always started first kick and ran great. All bikes were at least 15 years old when I bought them

@Jay Titan I feel you nah I can't keep up with those guys, one of my friend is in his late 50s, he's been riding all his life, we have some nice trails we ride out by a lake in the hills ,but the Yung pro riders pull up with their nice trailers, and race crew, I haven't seen one yet that can fk wit my man, my guy can ride...if I'm on a decline il bump start it save me the cranking, it's when I get stuck on a steep climb and go down, and have to crank the bike up,
