A “yet” or “but” shouldn’t be the conjuction connecting feminine and powerful. It presents the idea that feminine and powerful are constrasting ideas, but they’re obviously not. Regardless, the bride looked stunning in the “dress”
You can tell what kind of parent someone is by their children. If they're confident enough to wear what they like and stand out beautifully in public, let alone on TV, you can tell they must be an amazing parent. Supportive and kind. It's no wonder her kids are the same, they just seem like a beautiful family.
She's not to supportive. She's like my mom (I'm a trans guy) and she lets me go out looking male presenting but not calling me by the right pronouns. It's the same thing with her mom
@@insertnewuser9461 apparently from what i read on another comment she is trans but it seems like she figured that out later in life, it's not that the mom is trying to invalidate her, the daughter probably wasn't sure about it yet. We can't know that just from a video. I hope she accepted her tho

I absolutely love all episodes with Gok, but this one is just super awesome: no negativity from the entourage, each dress gets better, the bride got exactly what she wants and everyone just seems genuinely happy!
Seriously! Gok is just amazing with finding dresses that fit the bride's personality and accentuates their best features. I would 10/10 recommend Gok over any other bridal consultant/stylist on SYTTD.
I adore Gok. What I love is how he compliments the bride or the person he is styling (I still remember him from How to Look Good Naked) and he seems to really mean it. That’s the sweet part and I’m just like “we need more people like Gok in the world!” Plus he is hilarious and he does a great job styling. He knows that sometimes what you say you are looking for is different than how you want to look, but he doesn’t push the client.
I got goosebumps. I never do. But this felt so special exactly bc there was no compromise. She looked gorgeous it is her style and she gets to ride her bike!!
I just love how Gok is much more accepting of more offbeat lifestyles in comparison to the wedding consultants on other versions of SYTTD. Notice how he never once cringed or made rude jokes in response to what the bride was looking for in a dress.
I can't stop smiling when she keeps complementing her sons. Hey, boys, you really have a lovely mom. I love when she keeps saying kind things to her sons. That's so heartwarming.
@@nancyterrywhittemore2015 the daughter didn’t identify as a woman until some time after the making of this episode. The producers and the bride were not being disrespectful during that time.
See when you accept people as they are you have happiness in the family, not drama toxicity, headache & heartache. Beautiful family, beautiful bride and her gorgeous kids. I felt really privileged to see this ❤️
How is she accepting and supportive? The TV people and the captions both say son. She's obviously trans. That's horrible that they did that and her mom just let them air that without correcting saying son and daughter
@@insertnewuser9461 1st off. At the time of this recording, she hadn’t come out as trans. And second, a guy can look feminine and still be a guy, the fact your judging based off what they wear is not cool.
@@msslimmsjules4091 the mom referred to him as her son so unless we are told otherwise by the said person let’s use the pronoun that those close to the said person used. If they were a she they would have called them as such so until the person themselves or those who know them best said they are a daughter we will keep referring to them as a SON!
I love how she tells her sons that they've done a great job like NO, YOU'VE DONE A GREAT JOB RAISING THESE BOYS 😭😭 I'm gonna cry. They're both so supportive and open minded and caring

There was an Academy Award event where Meryl Streep wore tight trousers with an accompanying open skirt to the ground in vibrant colours. Talk about hypnotising, majestic and powerful. I see no reason why that style could not be transposed to bridal wear.
I notice parents who are into more edgy stuff have great relationships with their kids. Or maybe im projecting cos of my metalhead parents. Either way, this family is lovely.
This is seriously one of the sweetest, most kind & supportive, and most constructive family dynamics I've seen on this show. She raised her boys so well; they are a great family.

@@Mokoshhy you know that people do makeup differently? Also please use proper spelling. The look he had was a more dramatic look, than rather a soft one. It wasn't ment to be softly shaded, and you can find alot of people who do makeup like that.
The seamstress literally just put that together for the fitting - you can see the pins through the applique's on the hem of her trousers, so it's just an unfinished prototype. There's no way she could do all of what Gok asked for in the trousers in one appointment :)
She looked good in the first dress, great in the second, and absolutely stunning in the last ensemble. Beautiful bride with such a lovely, supportive family. Gok is just magic with how he makes things happen for his brides. Bravo!
Favourite bride and family thus far - amazing sons and obviously that's because the mom's amazing, the stylists and seamstress are amazing because that dress is GORGEOUS and SO PERFECT ON HER. Just LUV LUV LUV LUV LUV my heart just melted while watching this
You can tell her and her husband are made for each other. Their smiles light up just looking and talking to each other. Having a sense of humor and uniqueness and acceptance in a marriage is everything.
Gok is an absolute sweetheart & without doubt, the best SYTTD consultant. He totally defers to the brides’s style & personality. This episode shows how far he’ll go to truly capture the bride’s vision for her wedding. Gok is amazing & such a true & sweet soul! 💕

Such a neat family! I love how they are all so unique and each one of them live as their true self in confidence and have full support from each other. Her son in the red really knows his stuff! I loved how both of her sons were being involved and being vocal instead of just sitting there and just watching. I loved the idea of this “dress” it was literally perfect for her.

Ngl this one still makes me near crying, they're all so kind and sweet, its obvious the bride is an amazing woman and a supportive and loving mother. And her sons are so sweet and just happy to be themselves and to see their mum so happy, this has to be one of the sweetest families on this show
I always come back to this episode. It is so humane, and there is so much love in this family. Absolutely incredible, and I wish them all the happiness in the world.

Gok, what did you do?! OMG, the final product blew my mind. I felt really bad that she said no to the second dress. But then the bespoke version came in, and my jaw dropped to the floor!!! Wow, just wow!

Ok 1. she is so BADASS, 2. the way her husband speaks about her is adorable, 3. the way her kids look at her when she comes out in that second dress makes me tear up. so wholesome.
Gok always does such superb job.. I mean nobody else will put different pieces together for a bride. He is just amazing. He knows what the bride wants and how she'll feel in the dress
