To people who say Sports and Politics shouldn’t mix. Look at the history of sports. Black people were not allowed to play in the “Major” leagues. History in school is told from the white mans eyes and neglects how players like Jackie Robinson, Muhammad Ali, Bill Russell, John Carlos and Tommy Smith. Were being put down because of the color of there skin. People who white can empathize sure. But Jim Crow laws and segregation barely ended in 1965. For a reporter to tell a player to shut up and dribble is one of the most ignorant comments made to an athlete and that’s the problem people who don’t speak up are part of the problem as well. 💯
