A year late. But i got to watch a debate between a guy who thought men and women couldn’t be friends without leading to more and one who thought they could. It was interesting to see them try to explain to the other how they think. There was no judgment, just a discussion.

I've gotten out of the friendzone twice and I regret both. You don't know how the woman is as a partner until you're actually going out. It's a gamble. You can't be in love with someone you haven't been with. If you're friendzone you're in love at someone, at the idea you have in your head which 9/10 is fantasy. Most relationships fizzle out, and to waste YEARS chasing after someone who isn't into you just leaves you mourning the lost time. In my case it was a year and a half one time, and another 6 months. It was the same. I was ecstatic when it happened, but then I saw sides of their personalities that put me off and all I did was ended up disappointed and low key depressed that I threw away time pining for em. The only good thing that comes from that is when it lights a fire to self improve and it leaves you better off. But still... Why would you pursue someone who doesn't appreciate you or even want you? Let's say this dude succeeds only for it all to fail? Ouch.

I remember I once asked out a hot girl working as a movie theater usher. couldn't believe she said yes. I met her at her place and there was three or four guys hanging around her the whole time like flies all in the friend zone and she just wanted to add me. after about an hour of getting absolutely nowhere I left. the next night she came to my place, she immediately told me she was broke and wanted to move in with me. I tried to put the moves on her and she shut me down and brought up moving in together again. that repeated for about an hour until I took her home. I actually understand what nia is saying. You want to show some secual tension or at minimum physical tension and see if she's okay with it. For example I was friends with a Buddhist girl and she was cute from Thailand, and we had good chemistry. She told me she could read palms so I grabbed her hands and looks at her palms. She then touched mine and showed me my palms. After that it was easy to kind of touch her comfortably. Gesturing her a direction, touching her in friendly ways during laughter or conversation. But you don't want to be creepy about it. You have to create the tension and see how she reacts. If she's okay with it, that's a good sign. Also do a little what bill said (hey look at that girl over there) but not much. Just my experiences
