Hahaha hes good at bringing up real situations that you've been through thousands of times but never realized they were funny when he was talking about hello in their accent I said it aloud the exact same way he did right as he did it and had to pause it cause I couldn't stop laughing for like 10 mins
I've heard comedians from all over the world talk about how they modify their acts depending on where they are, and they think people in different countries won't 'get' their jokes. Funny is funny, and the best comedians are popular all over the world. Stop worrying about it.

On the topic of being an American world traveler: Friend of mine went to Italy with his wife and another couple, good times. They were in a cab, being driven together to a restaurant for dinner and my friend asked the cab driver, “Why doesn’t Italy have any French restaurants?” Cab driver responded, “Thirty minute drive, and we’re IN France…” 🧐
Yeah, Europeans always think they know more than Americans, which is bullshit. They live in countries the size of our states. Bill is exactly right that there's no difference between a Euro knowing where Austria is and an American being able to find Oklahoma on a map. Same thing with travel, Euros love to say Americans don't travel. We do travel....but I can drive for 2 days in a straight line and never leave the US. In Europe you can drive through some countries in hours. I mean someone in Germany going to France is like someone from Indiana going to Kentucky or Tenn. Plus a lot of Euros don't wear deodorant which is just gross. Especially (in my experience) the French and Germans. Nobody wants to smell that.
The US as a whole are on average far less educated than European people. Also on average less happy and you also have terrible infrastructure (US gets a grade of D minus) . There are parts of the US that are basically living like 3rd world country lol.

"stupid" isn't as big of an insult in northern europe as it is in the united states while social status and iq are basically identical sometimes in the united states no rich people would ever publicly post their iq scores here

Why should people learn a fucking map by memory? It's useless knowledge, as you can just check the info you need from an actual map. In the year 2000 we are gonna have computers in our heads anyhow.
Canadians are like this. I'm Canadian and alot of us (not me) RIP on Americans because they dont know where provinces are and stupid things like that. I always say can you point out at least 13 states on the map and they just look at me blankly.

If I tell them I’m from the state of Maryland and they don’t know where that is, I don’t look down on them or use that as my time to feel superior, that’s just depressing. I’ll say “it’s a small state in the middle of the east coast where DC is.” I don’t care about the order of the countries of Norway Sweden or Finland lol I’m not an ignorant American, it’s just that who really gives a fuck about them enough to know that useless trivia lmao. Fuck anyone who thinks Americans are uncultured, when their country has maybe one culture that might be known about and stereotyped by the rest of the world. America is such a huge country with so much diversity that it’s hard for the US citizens to know about all the cultures their own country possesses, and that’s pretty awesome. Our current president does not represent the US. It’s a relatively small culture out of everyone else that’s dumb enough to be manipulated by him; neither are we all wearing cowboy hats and wanting to invade desert countries for their oil and say we’re spreading freedom to the world. The relationship between the American people and the government has always been a strained one because our country was literally born from a revolution against the original government here, and we’ve distrusted the concept of people in power over us so much that one of the top ten Bill of Rights amendment is about our right as citizens to own guns in case our government becomes tyrannical and we’ll overthrow them. I’m not a gun nut, and say what you will about gun violence here, but I can’t help but feel for the citizens of Hong Kong right now who never had that freedom to own guns and how much easier it is for the Chinese government to take away rights from them whenever it wants.
Lol I’m Canadian and in public school in middle school we learned the american states because we had to learn history which included the North American wars. Literally a test to label the states.

You're wrong Bill, you shouldn't expect him to know where is TN in relation to Missouri, since these are states INSIDE the US, but the driver was right, the public education level in Europe is WAY ABOVE the US, and if you don't even know where Denmark and Sweden is as a grown man, then proof in point. He didn't ask you the names of different counties inside Sweden or Denmark, so don't use the TN & MI examples to counter that, because that is BS. Especially you Bill, that are part German in origin, Germany is right under Denmark, so you grew up to the age of 50 not knowing the area where your parents came from....
He was making an analogy...I agree it's not exactly the same thing but would is would have been less funny if he said..."Do you know which order Canada, U.S. and Mexico are in? That is obviously easier because those are 3 big countries and the average person would know that. You are talking about European countries the size of one of our states... Of course it makes sense the average non-European had no idea in what order they are! There are 50 countries in Europe... Can you name then all and in what order they are in? Denmark's population is 6 million, which is less than a third of Los Angeles, a CITY in a state in the US!!!!
Think about how shitty our colleges are. Now think about how many people go to our colleges from all over the world. Our community colleges are better than most countrys best universities. Thats why we lead the way in innovation and why so many countries steal our designs
Except it’s not your colleges or community colleges that attract people but your universities. And if your public school system sucks(which it does) college education can’t fix a generally uneducated and hostile to intellectualism populace. Which 2020 had made clear with the denialism of basic sanitation protocols due to them being incorporated in culture wars. The result is that colleges skew to upper middle class and elites who can game the system to send their kids, and the best and brightest international students (who pay the bulk of fees). Meanwhile poor people and lower middle class and even middle class are kept ignorant by design to keep them politically apathetic. Education normally entitles one with a sense of citizenship and civic duty which most people who don’t vote lack.
@@sadiaansari4574 explain why foreign students get so many grants. Or how affirmative action makes it easier to get into universities if youre a person of color. Our education system is in fact flawed but its still better than most of the worlds. You can deny it all you like but its a fact. If the colleges catered to the elite the college kids and professors wouldnt be attacking the elite daily
@@dylancooper5118 Here in America theyre finding out that an education means very little. We have a large portion of kids majoring in USELESS fields like philosophy or art. Those people will not find jobs in their field. Then you have welders coming out pf trade schools that make 10x what the dumb philosopher makes. We have a lot of trade schools so the ones that arent educated have a trade and no college debt. I didnt even mention the fields that have too many people in them like criminal justice or nursing. Cant find good jobs in either of those too. So you can take your European countries and shove em

I love Bill Burr but this time he was a doushe. He, a famous comedian does not know where are whole countries, but he expects that a taxi driver know where are shitty boring ÚSA states. To make thing worse, he talks about Finland as Scandinavian country. Finland is not a Scandinavian country.
