They should choose the DEGREE of the felony then the length of sentence - what it all comes down to. Sex is either/or. Age - points given by closest # of years. But sex and age really doesn’t matter - they should be tie breakers and extra credit... What’s important is the amount of damage inflected upon society, which SHOULD be directly proportional to the sentence!

This should be prime time tv show on nbc or shit like that. Just line up bunch of sex offenders, let guests guess what they have done and if they get it right, guy walks free and winner gets a refrigerator or something.

Opie is the exact same way although he's definitely kept a much more low profile since the O&A days. He's also happily married with two kids and lives in the Hamptons.
In my opinion, you have no idea what you said. Sex offenders are mostly citizens and people that had a moment of bad judgment, and they might have: urinated outside at a construction site, had sex in high school with their same age girlfriend, she sent him a naked selfie, a married couple went skinny dipping at night at the beach or in a hotel swimming pool, he looked at a 16-year old underage picture on the web; she looked 19. After he paid for that crime in jail, he goes on a public list - either 15 years or for life. He paid his debt, but continues to be punished for the above crimes. He cannot get a job. He cannot live with his family or close to a school. His neighbors shame him. Texas puts a sign on his front lawn. Friends disown him. His wife and children are shammed and live in poverty. He cannot travel outside his state without following severe rules. How can he reenter his community when he gets out? Studies show that few sex offenders released from jail recommit another crime. Sex offenses are committed by people the victim knows -family, friends, neighbors, not those on the registry. But people cannot make that transition from what is considered a normal sex llfe or interest and what we call boogymen or monsters. If you look at the list of crimes above, you will recognized that you had sex in high school, you went skinny dipping, you opened the wrong web site, you urinated on a hike, that you mistakingly looked at an illegal picture on the web. Does the sin in your life justify destroying you for the rest of your life?” Wouildn't we all be in jail if it did, especially if you add reckless driving or DUI? My opinion, keep the records with the police and let them do the policing. Let people get back to their lives after paying their debt. Show some humanity and justice. When Vick abused those dogs, to his credit, he admitted his wrong, paid his debt in jail, and went back to his $million dollar job in football. Our society does not allow others to do that mainly because of the press, politicians wanting to appear tough on crime, and people misinformed on what inhumanity our justice serves.
Didn’t like your program. It points out two points: 1) many crimes get unreasonable punishment which varies drastically between judges for the similar crimes. One person got 6 - 9 years for an attempted rape, while another person got 9 years for possessing 3 illegal pictures. A person peeking in a woman’s changing room was sentenced to 4 - 8 years in prison. Can you imagine you existing in a prison for even one year? We have the largest prison population in the world, larger than China or Russia. Germany has 60 percent fewer prisoners and their sentences are less by a similar number. We boast freedom, but Germany is more protective of the privacy of its citizens. We use NSA to listen to Americans and the FBI to investigation politicians. The John Walsh Act wreaked havoc on our sex laws and policies; in my opinion it violates the rights and privacy of Americans, and its claims are not supported by facts or academia. It violates the Constitution and its assurances of our inalienable right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. It violates the Bill of Rights against cruel and unusual punishment, after punishment has already been successfully finished. And academia does not validate the need for this curtailment of life for former offenders. The law was pushed through Congress by unscrupulous agents while many Congressmen were missing and without much debate, despite several that registered their reservations. 1) By definition, sex offenders are Americans that made a mistake, been punished in jail, completed a treatment program and parole supervision, and are now trying to start life again (non-citizens are deported). They are known to authorities and are easily identified in a re-offense. 2) Sex offenders must endure their shame and stereotype as monsters, boogeymen, subhuman, pedophiles (a clinical not legal term) which make their transition back into the community nearly impossible. 3) Persons that commit new sex crimes are usually not yet caught; they are family, friends, neighbors, and strangers that have not been yet been identified and are not on the sex registry. 4) Despite the sex offender’s stereotype, they seldom re-offend. A mega-analysis of 21 studies on recidivism found that sex offenders are least likely to reoffend, just above murderers. 5) With their release from jail, all their education and experience is gone by the wayside and typically, they cannot find jobs other than low paying, entry level jobs. Many are jobless. 6) The housing restrictions often put them into homeless. 7) The registration requirements for sex offenders are frequent, cumbersome from 15-life in duration, and are too easily to error (a new email address must be reported to police within 30-minutes - for 15 years to life), resulting in a new felony and imprisonment. 8) Many of whatever relationships they have with family or spouses cannot handle the shame, and they dissolve, now putting more strain on life. 9) Most persons on the sex registry are not rapists but are non-violent, persons who have not committed crimes against persons. While some might be quick to say they deserve what they got, it should be clear that sex offenders include persons who have urinated outside in a semi-public area like the woods or a construction site, adults who have had consensual sex in a semi-public place like outside in the woods, at the beach, a hotel swimming pool in the middle of the night, that sextext, send a boyfriend their own selfie, teenagers who have consensual sex. If you were caught today “parking in your jalopy Ford in the woods “making out” you too or your son would be a sex offender and punished for life. 10) Many states restrict sex offenders from havging any contact with children, or visiting parks, trails, beaches, community pools, or other places where 40 percent of our population, children, exist.

My words legitimately reflect a problem with our justice system and the imbalance against those that have made bad choices, against minority races, and the bias of justice. You seem to have hate in your soul, not supported by any facts shown here. Have you or those close to you made no mistakes in your life or what impact might your harsh words have on my family or friends? Recently a threat like yours did cause a young man to commit suicide, and the villian who pushed him to that end was prosecuted. Bless you.

We will all benefit if we get the crooks out of office, make those in office responsible to address our social issues more effectively, and hold accountable those and the laws that do injustice..
@@heterogamer2816 If I make a statement and have opinions on wrongs in our country, does that justify your comment that the Government should be looking into the trunk of your car, peep in your windows to watch you and your wife, look through your trash on garbage day, listen to your phone calls. I realize your comment was meant to be funny, but think about your lack of understanding of the bigger issue - we have FBI and CIA and NSA "checking this guy's hard drive" in the midst of abuse and injustice, and most people just turn away and vote again the same crooked politicians into office. You know, that just last year, homosexual sex was a crime in this one state I know of, while gay marriage was legal. Are you okay with that?
