Any former President can command millions because they are seen as the ultimate speaker for corporate events and the corps compete with bids of 100s of thousands of dollars in booking fees. Virtually every ex President has a charity or foundation where lots of their money and time goes to after their White House stint. Same would have applied to Bernie and if he refused speaking events he would thus end up will millions less to divert to charities. The 4 to 8 years spent in office famously ages people fast and usually directs the odd bullet their way , they need security i.e. no privacy, for the rest of their life.

The whole country has generally move left, that’s why there are red states like Montana and Arizona that have legalized weed and many others have legalized gay marriage. The modern conservatives who are my age, like me would have been considered pretty liberal not even that long ago. So, that being said, the democrats have also moved even farther left, and there wasn’t much room left for them to move while staying in what I call the “reasonable” territory. They believe and say a lot more outlandish and factually incorrect things, like men magically becoming full on women by just saying so and getting a surgery. In my opinion, that’s complete nonsense, and it’s also scientifically incorrect. There are other things like that being spouting off by people on the left all the time, and from what I’ve observed from living in Portland Oregon heart of the bleeding hearts, the democrats seem to say things that are just blatantly wrong a lot more than the republicans do these days. And that’s why when I choose between the two, it’s a simple choice for me to vote republican. In my opinion it’s the more sensible thing to do. Also, the democrats claim to care about the future generations in terms of climate change, but they aren’t as concerned about putting the country in more debt by wasting taxpayer dollars on useless and or racially biased social programs. Granted, the republicans are terrible about spending these days too (yet another example of the country as a whole moving farther left) but it’s indisputable that the voters themselves behind the Republican Party care more about the reduction of government spending than those who back the Democratic Party. To conclude, there’s a lot more hypocrisy and boarder line insanity coming from the left, so I’m going to keep right and merge onto the path to reasonability. Besides, I’m a fisherman and the really liberal women around here don’t like that, so I don’t like them, because I love fishing. At least that way there’s more nice bass and trout out of the Willamette for me!

Bill seems pretty ignorant, as usual. I love him and I’m a centrist, but how is Trump the same as Clinton? How do they equally only care about themselves? Trump didn’t have to do this. He’s a billionaire, and this is one of the most stressful jobs in existence. He wasn’t bought by self-interest groups. I’m not a huge fan of him and he’s nowhere near perfect, but to say he’s the same as Hillary Clinton is insane. Look at the unemployment rate before Covid, especially for blacks. Historically low. His actions during the covid pandemic can be seen as questionable, but only if you believe covid is as serious as the media says, which it isn’t. High rates of unemployment should be more concerning than a virus that is only a bit worse than the flu.

Bill makes some decent points... and then says he liked Bernie Sanders. 🙄🙄🙄
