Bill talks about superhero movies 5/2/22 Bill Burrs' Official RU-vid Channel: / billburrofficial Contact Bill: mondaymorningpodcast@gmail.com Outro Music: Illiano - Say My Name • Illiano - Say my name #billburr #mmpc
Describing the Dark Knight as 'the one where the joker walks out of the hospital dressed as a nurse with that guy from brokeback mountain' is the most Bill Burr thing I've ever heard.
There's a white board at work randomly placed 8nna fire escape, people are always writing random shit on it. All these goddamn nerds always write all this goddamn nerd shit about Star Wars and shit on it, Thanos is a word I recognize. I just wrote NERDS really big on it in bold red.
"it starts with Howard the Duck... what?" the little things he does get me rolling. I wish Bill would do a series of these. I would pay for em. My favorite comedian doing my favorite movie series.
I mean if we lived in the timeline where Disney bought Warner Bros it will suddenly become very relevant, on top of that they'd have a large monopoly on comic films and will be able to make crossovers we could only dream of
The video editing in these is beautiful. It isn't just a series of clips any time something is mentioned, when bill pauses to remember something, the clip actually pauses as if the thing he's thinking of can't even remember
I absolutely love how Izzy SoDope is able to find the perfect punchline for each situation, like for example, Burr mentions that Batman and Superman hate each other so much that it's like they are gay for each other, and then Britta is all like "Men fight each other because of their pent-up gayness." 🤣 Or the rich kid committing a murder, and shows an actual news article of that! 🤣
@Grilled Cheese Sandwich Oh, my! I never knew this would devolve into a conversation about my intelligence. Well, if you don't want to answer my question, then okay. 🤣
@Grilled Cheese Sandwich Apparently, after doing some research on the logistics of using the word 'or', after a sentence, there is nothing wrong with that. So maybe you were taught at school that's it's not okay, and that's why you commented it in the first place. 🤷♂
I refused to watch them then gave in about 2 years ago and they’re actually really good especially with them all being connected in the mcu.. The older i got the more i liked them, weird i know lol
@@JayMac there's just like, too much. I look at the TV every once in awhile and there's like another series or movie. I don't hate them by any means, but Geez Louise I can't keep up. I saw my fucking second Jurassic Park movie in the theater yesterday and it blew
Eh, they could have done it in the same order as the MCU rather than random, also Batman and Superman are DC not Marvel. The Ghost bit was completely unrelated too.
They're ok. The crazy part is they keep getting better and they all connect in pleasant way that keeps adding to them. It's not the destination, it's the journey. It's a series of scale that can not perhaps ever be replicated.
@@A-small-amount-of-peas That's not even adressing any point in question. The 1st movies? Iron-Man, Hulk, Thor, Captain? All wildly different kinds of character origins. And then combining them? How do you even consider them "essentially the same"? Guy fights a bad guy? If that's the depth of your analyzis? You're going to have a bad time. James Bond is essentially the same. You still be getting flabbergasted about him? Perhaps you should try to think about it a little harder.
@@Tenebrousable I'm sorry what point did you make? That they keep getting better? If you say so. I can only speak for myself and say that after I watched the first few it did not grip my attention to continue watching I'm sorry that you've taken offence to this
Bill should watch that documentary "The Death of Superman Lives" about the time when Nic Cage, Tim Burton, and Kevin Smith aka Silent Bob were gonna make the next Superman movie but the budget got snatched from them and the studio made Wild Wild West instead 😂
@@x.Aura.x ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kJTjkAGLJVY.html if your talking about this it didn't change my mind. It seems like they wanted to go so dark and gritty that Superman wouldn't even seem like Superman. Also the title was kinda dumb the death of Superman lives lol. Nic cage couldn't even do ghost rider so I don't know why anyone would want him as the face of DC. I like Tim and I think he had and interesting vision and it could have worked maybe but I think he would have went to far with it and I think he was making awful choices.
As a passionate fan of the superhero & comics canon, it's often good to hear it get teased by non/casual fans, because that serves a reminder that it all is meant to be enjoyed and cherished, not hemorrhoid-inducingly bitched over like a Fox News panel.
I feel like the Blade movies don't get enough credit, Blade 2 being the most memorable of the trilogy notably because of the Reapers. I know not many people tend to like Blade 3 but I tolerate it since Ryan Reynolds is in it, it's the closet we've gotten to a Blade and Deadpool crossover movie so far
13:35 holy fuck I was crying at the aggressive “titties” 😂 my guy has spilled milk over those comics and was disappointed with the lack of modern titty reprisal.
