I discovered this guy in the mid 2000’s after listening to TOOL’s Aenima album, and I’ve pretty much memorized all his stand up albums! Probably my favorite stand up comic of all time, we lost a legend.
That 'today young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed (...) and we are the imagination of our selves.' really summed up my shroom trip from yesterday.
My guy, roll one up type Bill Hicks in to the search bar and just start clicking. This guy was sneaking out of his house at 15 to perform at a comedy club. He's the most famous comedian that nobody's ever heard of. Legend.
I know right? I've only recently gotten a partial spiritual awakwning and just realized how right he is! I'll look for more vids where he talks more about this. Fascinating.
because they removed the original clips of the full standups a year or 2 ago. they had millions of views. and i think it took almost a year for them to be uploaded again
I don't know if seeing this as a child influenced my recent first time LSD trip, but what he said hit the nail on the head. Especially the part about there being no such thing as death. God damn I can't wait until the wait period is up before I can go back to that place.
There are no more people like this. Well, there is but no one who reached this level of popularity aswell as speaking on things like this. Except for George Carlin maybe but he’s also passed away.
'Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration. That we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively. That there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream; and we are the imagination of ourselves.'
Man imagine if bill were alive today to see the legalization of weed lol. Your vision came true. Hopefully things will get better and the world will live in peace. You may say I’m a dreamer, but I’m not the only one.
Bill was one-of-a-kind. So odd that a comedian from the 90's (didn't even make it into the mid or late 90's) had it all figured out way back then, without the Internet @ 1:43 & 2:31 ... it's a ride that we chose to get on and experience (& hopefully learn from & take with us).
Not just the best Bill Hicks monologue but the best monologue ever...from and since the 90s at least. Rest In Power Bill, you were real...but wtf was up with that randy goat boy shit man? Fr
Do you think maybe, the US can vote him in as a the next president? I know he's dead, but he wouldn't make a single bad decision. Why isn't there a 'National Bill Hicks' day for everyone to enjoy?
The president (and politicitians in general) are just there to give you the illusion of choice. Putting a great man in that seat wouldn't do shit to the deeper problems of any country.
basically saying the people that realize life is just a ride and it's not all that there is and it is a very small part of existence go to others to tell them about this ride and let them know "hey it's just a ride dont worry! there is no such thing as death." the big wigs and corporations and greedy elites dont want the rest of humanity to realize this because then the structure of society that has been built around money, power, fortune, would crumble. it would all go away. no more investment portfolio no more big bank account, no more corporate slaves. so they kill those people that try to come and tell everyone else it's an illusion and its just a ride
