Muleskinner Blues was written by Jimmie Rodgers. It was his Blue Yodel #8.

"country music in overdrive"? - the phrase is "folk music with overdrive", coined by Alan Lomax, and no one else.

Its funny because I consider Ricky Skaggs the modern Bill Monroe, hes the ambasador for Blugrass.

Ricky's a true son of the genre but there's lots of great voices in Bluegrass.
