Good ol Andy Griffith! He's a legend in both country and acting, and he's pure down home country gold. North Carolina boy born and raised just like myself.
He was never a good person. He cheated on his wife the whole time he filmed his tv show and turned out to be an extreme left obama funding/supporting communist. You never hear of him doing a good deed but there are countless stories of him being rude or mean to waitresses. He even punished his friend Don Knotts who wrote most of the tv show for leaving the show to pursue other work and further his career. He shut Don out he he asked to rejoin the show. There was no good in andy griffith, just a life of selfish meanness.
I really wish I could have met him. There's not alot of stars I want to meet, but he was definitely one of them. Do you live by Mayberry ? I have a a cousin that does. Yup I'm jealous lol.
SO glad I found this video, so cool to see Andy present Earl the hall of fame award, long time coming if you ask me, who better to present it than Andy Griffith American Icon RIP ANDY AND EARL
I love Earl Shrugs! He has been a favorite of mine for many years. When he and Lester Flat played together, they were the best in country music! They are 2 country greats that will never be forgotten!
I used to watch Flatt & Scruggs on Saturday afternoons when I visited my grandmother's house when I was a kid in the 60's. It was a staple in her house, my 2 great aunts lived there as well, and we had a great time. ❤❤❤
Love Banjo music Best Banjo player ever 😊 My Grandpa courted my Grandma with a Banjo, music and dinner every Sunday on her parent's farm. Had a horseless carriage that he escorted my Grandma to church and social functions with.😊 They liked country music They were married for almost 66 years when he passed my grandma passed away the following year .
Even as good as Marty Stewart was, when he was on the stage with one of the old greats he still got that look of wonderment on his face like he was thinking 'I can't believe I'm standing up here with this legend.'
I may very well have Andy Griffith and his show to thank for introducing me to bluegrass. I've had a wide influence in music, but as far as I can remember there was no bigger input for this wonderful genre in my formative years (the 70s) than my love for the Andy Griffith Show. Thanks you, Andy, for finding it so important to instill the love of music in your viewers. He wasn't without fault, but I think, at his core, he was an American first and foremost. I owe many of my morals to his show.
I was in Nashville that afternoon and had backstage clerance for the Opry, but decided to head back to Virginia. When I hear this on WSM, I was about sick. Andy was supposed to do the 2nd show, but was having problems with Guillain-Barre syndrome and missed the 2nd show. I listened all the way home, just like I did for so many times.....
Unforgettable moments fans, get in action and organize the replay, who is willing to sing along, let only music rule the world & let it sound just this good ❤🎉❤
Marty Stuart who was playing with Lester Flatt and the Nashville Grass when he was 14. Marty was responsible for Earl and Lester having a final meeting when Lester was on his death bed. Wow. Some history on that stage!
North Carolina? I thought MATLOCK was from Georgia! I knew Andy was a country music fan. He was featured in a Brad Paisley music video and had the likes of Randy Travis on his TV show. It's hard to believe he's been gone so long. Miss him!
Matlock , his character, IS from Georgia. Andy, the actor, was from Mt Airy NC. That is what Andy based Mayberry off of, his town in NC. I think you got his character from Matlock confused with the actual guy.
