Bill Simmons, Zach Lowe, and Haralabos Voulgaris Preview the 2014-15 NBA Season | B.S. Report Grantland's Zach Lowe and NBA gambler Haralabos Voulgaris join Bill to make predictions and look forward to the upcoming season.
21:30 '' I won't be telling my kids about him '' Is kinda funny to hear these words after what Klay did. With 37 point quarter and specially his 60 point game in 3 quarters while taking like 10 dribles total. Not to mention how he saved Warriors in game 6 at Thunder in 2016 playoffs. Klay Thompson is definetly somebody you will be mentioning to your grandkids
Also: 44:29 We saw how well that worked out for Cleveland in the last Finals. Cleveland's starting lineup outperformed Golden State's but they got absolutely hammered when Deron Williams, Shumpert, RJ, Love and Frye were out there
I never liked how cavs since lebron came back always relied mostly on veterans while warriors for example always gave chance to guys like Jordan Bell,Patrick McCaw,Kevon Looney,Ian Clark etc and those guys showed value in the playoffs. Cavs always wanted just veterans and they break down.
@@Coolquip43 Not saying he wasn't wrong, but basically everyone agreed with this at the time(except Jerry West thank god). and also mark fucking jackson
Don't mention mark Jackson's name with the warriors, they did him dirty. Look how long he hasn't been a coach and he's mad humble he doesn't bash them at all while others fucking set him up talking shit.
@@capitanawesome44 I should take back my reply, after listening to this again, the change in tactics definitely was factoring into my mindset when I wrote the original comment. My bad.
Voulgaris has the typical finance bro personality which annoys me but he's entertaining to watch and evidently has made a ton of money on sports gambling.
Draymond Green is not even a starter for the Dubs at the beginning of 2014. By the end of the year he's a top 5 defensive player and the key to the line up of death. Crazy!
Seems like Bill was ready to wright Igoudala off pretty early. Dude still had some good years in him. In the playoffs I felt like he really did a great job for the Warriors. Obvously not the biggest peace in the puzzle but a very important one still. And the talk on Klay ? Klay Thompson comes out of college every year ? I remember even back than, hating the idea of trading Love for Klay. Simply because I thought it was so amazing that 1 team has two such great shooters. At that point Love was obviously a more established player but even back than you could see just what kind of a shot Klay had. You could see it was special and only starting to really get workin. You combine his 3 point shooting + Steph ? I always loved that idea more, than taking Klay out and replacing him with Love. That would be a disaster trade.
I watched this... this, mustve been about 10-15 times when it came out. Sad Zach and Bill can't do pods anymore. And Bill hasn't had Haralabos on since I think the 2016 Playoffs
Brandon Reed I know, but I think that was a one time thing that ESPN allowed. Or else they would've done many more, I can promise you that. Also, I completely forgot about it when I was writing my original comment, but Bill did do a podcast with Haralabos during the 2017 Playoffs.
I hope not , cuz I do remember Bill mentioning that he couldn't do a podcast with people from ESPN last year but when he got Zach on I assumed something chagned
Hab says "you out there e dog, whats up" around 57 mins. referencing erick lindgren who is a known a known gambling addict who has been outted in part by Hab. Funny stuff.
Mark Jackson was black balled in the NBA for Steve Kerr. Smh I just hope that one day mark Jackson gets his due 😂 😬 and gets to coach again, he was a great coach.
It's pretty uncommon for Haralabos to give interviews, wish they would have let him talk more. He's an incredibly smart and well-spoken person, it would've been great to get some more of his insight into the NBA
