Hello everyone! Todays vlog takes us to the Biltmore Estate, America's Largest Home, built by George Vanderbilt, to explore the gardens and ground. We roam acres of sprawling gardens, pathways, and spots full of exquisite flowers and vegetation designed by the world famous landscape architect, Frederick Law Olmsted. Olmsted is know for designing landmark locations such as Central Park in New York City and the conservation of Niagara Fall, The Adirondacks, and Yosemite Valley.
The garden arrangements and displays at Biltmore change seasonally. For the summer, rose are the blooming show stoppers, the Italian Garden’s ponds brimming with tropical water plants, hydrangeas bursting forth seemingly everywhere. Its truly a magic time at biltmore. We even show you the spot where we proposed!
We also take you for breakfast at one of our favorite spots in Asheville, Biscuit Head. Biscuit Head is a breakfast and Lunch cafe in West Asheville's Biltmore Village area featuring heavenly cat-head biscuits, house-made jams, and sandwiches so good you'll reach for seconds. The restaurant has been packed since day one and widely featured in the media, including Bon Appetit, The New York Times, Food & Wine, USA Today, Garden & Gun, Paste and Eater.com.
