Thanks for sharing your birding trip Thomas, it looks like a spectacular birding site with a huge flock of Egrets. The Blue-Winged Teal is a real rarity here and as far as I know the Cinnamon Teal is not even on the U.K. bird list. Interesting to see all your other native birds.

Have you ever been to Myakka River State Park? There were great flocks of egrets and herons and all sorts of others. Anhingas and owls and woodpeckers including a Pileated I saw. Heaps of big white herons, the angina bird is outnumbered :) impressive birding here in Merritt Island many bird species to see, it never disappoint one bit!
