As a child growing-up in Singapore, tv images always showed the Statue of Liberty as a majestic structure at the mouth of the NY harbour. But when I flew into NYC in the late 80s for a job interview, I was surprised (& disappointed) at how much smaller than I had originally thought!

@@Jack-hy2kiyes and no to some foreigners , not discriminating no one immigrants from China most will not stay behind and defend this nation as they are here for the peacefulness, high quality life style , great career opportunities and tip top education , high living standards and wages . If something goes wrong or we are in crisis, they will not hesitate to leave without a trace. It’s base on many of these people I knew in private or work life , all the above are the only things they came here and interested in and not a word of how they want to defend this country, some been here for ages and their child reached the Age of Enlightenment, instead of getting ready for the day to come they are finding ways to flee or prevention. My immediate boss is a Danish and wife she’s a Brit , their 2 sons recently received letters of enlistment for the upcoming December and their entire family are overjoyed and asking around the local staff what and how to prepared, their sons too are looking forward for the dah to come and been watching all YT and IG related to enlistment It warmed my heart but the Chinese immigrants looks disbelief and unbelievable.

Why are people so pressed about the onion rings lol He probably doesn't go to fast food chains that often and gets confused about the menus at one of them. There's a Chinese idiom called '举一反三,' which essentially means drawing inferences from a single example or making a guess on the information at hand. If McDonald’s doesn't offer onion rings, perhaps it's Burger King, Wendy’s, Carl’s Jr, or even the possibility that different McDonald’s locations have varying menus.

If Asia was overflowing with talent like Karl says, the various governments there would not feel the need for draconian restrictions to issuing work permits, activities forbidden to foreigners etc. What is true is that population increased in all Asian countries, and therefore there is more educated talent now than ever before, but in most countries, education systems are still sub-par, promote rote learning and discourage autonomous thinking and creativity. And the wealthy elites send their kids to study abroad, wherever they can afford to, to the UK, US, Australia, etc., from where kids come back with unwelcome alien notions like free speech, questioning authority, little reverence for elders etc. It all must be making interesting conversations at the dinner table during Chinese New Year, no doubt.

He’s talking about working talent. Asia has a ton of working talent with high work ethic. A lot of people study in brand name universities in the west - if you’re smart and rich enough, you will know that you study less for more over there. A branded degree, less effort for a first class honours or summa cum laude, better starting opportunities - who wouldn’t do that if they could? That’s what many of my friends are doing. They leave Singapore, study in an Ivy League or good uk universities, work a few years in a good international role for a while, complain a bit about high taxes and their eventual plan is to return to Asia. Asia IS overflowing with talent. So much so that the less affluent countries are suffering from immense brain drain.

I'm a big fan of Singapore and grateful every day for my time here, but a lot of hawker centre food is not the best. Most hawker centre food is as cheap as it can be, and to make stuff that cheap the stallholders have to make compromises to keep costs low and to attract customers with low-quality content - cheap ingredients, particularly chicken, too much salt, too much oil. In my experience it's also difficult to eat healthily in a hawker centre, particularly from the perspective of a balanced diet including vegetables. Vegetables are either overfried or overstewed, I guess the latter because the food has to be made in advance to be doled out quick. The real Chinese food paradise of east Asia is Taiwan, in my opinion.

The discrimination that Karl faces as a white man in Singapore is not on the same level as that of an Asian immigrant in some countries. In an American mind, there can only be one. So it is impossible for them to think that both China, Russia, India and USA can have a good economy and a good life, only one of them can. That is probably why US go to war against any country they think will develop in to a successful country. BRICS on the other hand believe that even if they are successful, it will not destroy them if their partners also is successful. So for example even if India become successful, it does not mean that they will replace China, China can still be very successful beside them. If you have 10 apples and 3 people, it is completely possible for all of them to have at least 3 apples, even if one of them might have 4 apples.. For an American it is important to have 9 apples and let the two other fight for the last apple.. Yes, America love a free market, as long as they have a monopoly on it. I am so glad i lived to see the development of BRICS and to witness the downfall of US, because they have become the true terror group of the world. @HrRezpatex 8 месяцев назад
@@CrossbredmiMiyang lol, i shall try to explain something to you, but i kind of already know that you will not understand it or understand any of the historic references i give, but i will do it anyway. .Lets start with the Monroe Doctrine, a principle of US policy, originated by President James Monroe, that any intervention by external powers in the politics of the Americas is a potentially hostile act against the US. In general it say that nobody beside USA should be able to interfere in the western hemisphere. .Then lets jump to The Cuba Crisis. (you can look it up and read about it) USA then threaten the whole world with a nuclear war because of that. (this is in a direct relation to the Monroe Doctrine) Since that USA have created their own version of The Cuba Crisis around Russia again and again and again, and it is a completely mystery for the Americans why Russia react to that at all. (Because most of them are just as brainwashed as you are, and have no knowledge about history what so ever.) And here is a little list of some of the Cuba Crisis versions they created for the Russians. (by that i mean they created a situation that US would go to a nuclear war for if someone did the same to them, i try to explain it so that even you shall understand..) . The Cuba Crisis 02: Norway become a member of NATO . The Cuba Crisis 03: Poland become a member of NATO . The Cuba Crisis 04: Estonia become a member of NATO . The Cuba Crisis 05: Latvia become a member of NATO . The Cuba Crisis 06: Lithuania become a member of NATO . The Cuba Crisis 07: Sweden become a member of NATO . The Cuba Crisis 08: Finland become a member of NATO . The Cuba Crisis 09: Ukraine become an American puppet with a American coup. and so on.. For some strange reason you will never understand, Russia finally reacted. And they have my 100% support in doing so. How China is begging for a war i have no idea about, but i guess what you mean is that they are developing in to a successful country, and in the eyes of an American, i guess that is the same as begging for a war. I doubt very much that you know about any of this history or will understand it, but i tell you anyway, simply because that is facts. And to be honest, i would almost love to see US in a war against Russia, China, iran and all the other countries that would support them, because i would not mind seeing US being crushed completely. You probably don`t know that they are already in a war against Russia in Ukraine, and even with all the support US have from EU and NATO countries in Ukraine, Russia alone is still crushing them there.. lol In case you do not know it already, China is a even bigger military force then Russia is.. I hope you get what you are begging for, even if it is clear that US is more then capable of destroying it self.. lol

😂 LOL 🤣 Stopped watching at that ... He doesn't know anything here if he don't know China, the elephant in the room. India is too fragmented, lacking essential base infrastructures, rocked with internal race/religious conflicts, corruption, etc to replace China in anything😅 India is big on all the wrong stuff to replace China. The fact that India having the largest slum in the world compared to China elevating 800 millions out of poverty at the same time is too significant to ignore. Not forgetting that India is also the hotel California of foreign investors money, talks big dream big without follow up actions, etc ... Correct advices is important.😅✌️

The Chinese Communist Party shot itself in the foot with its one-child policy. China is aging rapidly, and at the moment the benefits from its astonishing economic progress are not well-enough distributed to encourage young couples to raise sufficient childrent to reverse the trend. This will increasingly cause instability in an economy as little able to respond to market drivers in China, productivity and growth will evaporate as the population increasingly needs to be looked after in old age. India also has significant barriers to progress but it's not an unreasonable prediction that with an expanding young population it will be able to realise more of its potential in the future than China.

@@samyang5873China will never able to overtake USA, look at it's GDP per capita and GDP, It's no where near to US and you are already dreaming like it has overtaken US. But in the case of India, it can easily over take Germany and Japan to become the third largest economy considering India has recently Surpassed UK in 2023, now it has Germany and Japan which have a GDP below 5 trillion US dollars. But GDP per capita can't be due to it's excessive amount of population. Population is always a burden for a country.
