Very entertaining round 1. Crazy how much damage you did to each other in game 3. I wonder if the opponent boarded out the initiative card just to blank your Snuff Outs.
Survivors' Encampment > Holdout Settlement The desert subtype is technically relevant in pauper. It makes 8 unplayable cards better that are legal in the format. 😊
Thoughts on pauper overall? Used to play some pauper a while back and it was pretty fun. Feels resilient to all the BS wotc has designed these past few years (barring initiative lol). I'm off mtg pretty hard and even canceled manatraders. Assuming it feels good to play, this format would be an easy (and cheap) way to jam some games if I ever get the itch to play again.
Some would go so far as to say it is magic in its purest form, but in reality its a diverse format that encourages brewing and feels competitive all at the same time, and its cheep to boot by its very nature
Black burn is an archetype that *should* be better. Comparable to the red version. At least the main advantage should be that it gains life and that give it an edge against classic red burn
Good content! It just seems like that list could of used some better options. I don't like that cauldron familiar package, and could of been replaced by some main deck removal (soul reap and cuombajj witches would be really good). But it has always been an inferior option to mono red burn. Maybe a rakdos burn deck could be cool?
