One of my favorite scenes in any movie. Hits the guy for real, he breaks character, and it just cuts to another take with a different actor. Brilliant.
I do not think he hit the guy for real, I think he slapped him like a bitch instead of punching him. When it cuts to the "new" actor, its a punch, when its the bigger first guy, its a slap
Black Dynamite flipped the sign to 'open'. Chicago Wind's car blew up before it even hit anything. There are so many nice little touches in this movie.
Make every turn and manoeuvre while turning his head back talking smack. Lost his concentration when his eyes were actually back on the road. Pure gold.
@@gedbeat15 Funny story. He said that, and they continued filming up until O'Hara comes at Bruce with the bottle. He really cut Bruce when he came at him and they had to stop filming so Bruce could go the the hospital. When they came back, everyone thought Bruce was gonna kill him. When they went to shoot the scene again, Bruce kicks O'Hara hard into 3 extras. O'Hara hit the extras with so much impact, one broke an arm.
That's actually a nunchuck trick that Michael jai White know how to do. I'll post a video when he does it in real time. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Bewi8-Bkq6E.html
so many gems. at 1:47 he throws the three guys that were talking smack out the window, then at the start of 1:55 they are there again lmao. this movie is gold everytime I watch it
This movie is highly underrated. The simple fact that they not only booked this much talent but also made every actor, in a lot of cases, funnier than their regular work.
For anyone wondering the name of the music during the fight it's "Disco Connection" by Lord Rhaburn. It's a classic breakbeat that I only found after years of searching so hopefully this helps someone else too.
he smacked the dude and the actor changed. I love the movies subtle comedy, its not the over used corporatized comedy Hollywood does its just a movie thats a parody of 70s movies that actually feels like a real movie
When he slapped that big dude and they replaced the actor like we wouldn't notice and then Chicago Wind's car blew up when he left the cliff LMFAO gotta love 7Os movies
It's so funny because I use to watch these movies back in the 70's, (yes, I'm old), and they get everything right about this. Bullhorn is definitely ode to Dolemite!!!
Me too man i grew up on this shit. They hit everything on the head even the background music. Jim Kelly, Fred the hammer Williamson, Jim brown, and especially Rudy Rae moore. The list goes on. Good times lol!!!
3:26 OMG 😂😂😂😂 I can't stop laughing, I'm crying writing this! They even switched extras after he smacked him.....but...but hahaha hahaha the look on "BULLHORN" face is priceless!!!!
"Now you know why they call me Chicago Wind,...........FOOOOL, Cuz I left yo ass blown in da breezeeeeeee" lmao Bruh how was he driving perfectly fine when we wasn't looking at the road, then crashed when he finally turned around? lmaoooo
2:30 Love how you can tell by the shock in his eyes that Black Dynamite accidentally threw the nunchucks across the room, so they just keep playing the sound and throw it to him from off-screen to pretend he intended to use it as a boomerang.
I remember there was an interview where they said they barely had a budget and all the production errors they just used to emphasis the comedy because a lot of times they can only do 1 take
So many people I know who have seen the Black Dynamite cartoon that hasn't seen the movie and won't see the movie. I love the cartoon but IMO the movie was way, way better. One out of maybe 5 movies I'd watch repeatedly, a feat indeed because I rarely watch movies more than once or twice if it's really good.
+Bzaafied Agreed. I loved the movie, definitely has plenty of replay value. I was excited for the show but after seeing one episode, I thought it was wack as fuck.
+Bzaafied The cartoon borrowed alot of elements from the film and I saw this back whe it came out. Tried showing this to some of my friends, they didnt give it a chance but once it was on adult swim on cartoon network they were like "this is the best cartoon ever".............fuckers.
No man, its a scene breaking the fourth wall. The scene is supposed to look like a blooper. What we are supposed to think is that the actor playing Bullhorn accidentally hits the other actor for real, the other actor then breaks character because he is pissed off! He lose his cool and they have to remove him from the set. So then they have to bring in another different actor and continue the scene.
@@edgarramos1499 no, but they intentionally replaced him with a scrawny light-skin. There's hella meta commentary in that scene about colorism and the perception of masculinity
The best aspect of this movie is that it's a parody, but MJW can't help but still be an awesome fighter and nunchucker when he's being silly. There were some serious kicks in the movie.
Chicago wind got that no- look driving technique..🤣then he turned around and his car changed colors and blew up without hitting anything!!! Classic!!!🤣🤣💯👍🏽
So when I look back at this, Chicago wind was fresh as all get up. His fit was fresh, he was smooth, and especially at the part where the bullet was thrown. He didn't even look around just caught it. This movie is awesome.
unironically love the edit at 3:10 of black dynamite running outside, the way it's cut with the door sound effect is just extremely satisfying. He acknowledges Bullhorn's handling of the situation, and instantly dramatically turns his head around and bolts for the door. He flies outside so fast he's literally sliding as he exits, looks for chicago wind as he's sliding, then chases after him. it's like, perfectly cut so that as his head turns to the door he is instantly outside. it's as if he can move so fast that he's just instantly out of the door and flies out of it at incredible speed, then the snap zoom on his face as he does his amazingly hilarious over the top karate pose, while sliding, then him running off all in 1.5 seconds. it's genuinely good editing.
😂😂😂While looking backwards this Mane drove 3 miles around curves and all . The second he paid attention to the road he crashes. Lmao😂😂😂 I love this movie
Nobody gonna talk about him smacking his boot when the nunchucks? lol God I love parody movies. This is up there with Naked Gun IMO. Michael kills it in this role.
