well actually no. Because even though Zelena’s magic has the same strength she can’t control it fully. Magic is based off emotion. Dark magic is based of vengeance and anger. Hence why in the later seasons Regina and Zelena appear to be weaker when in reality their power hasn’t changed at all. Zealenas pendent let her control her magic at her own free will as It was explained in season 3. So when the black fairy focused her power she was able to change all of the crystals because it was being used to it’s fullest
Zelena was stronger in S3 when she had her pendant it harnessed amplified and focused her powers plus she was more wicked at the time and had more hate and anger in her which fueled her dark magic
But if you ask me Zelena would totally win in a fight against Theodora from Oz the great and powerful, Maleficent from the movie , and Rowena from Supernatural
Ikr! I hated how the writers downplayed so many characters for the benefit of the plot. They did the same with Regina. She was portrayed as and almost unbeatable force surpassed only by a few as the likes of rumpelstiltskin and such but then the writers turn her into a self doubtful woman who cams barely keep up in magic. Stupidest decision ever made😒😒
@@lillucas4087 Rumple is far worst and more powerful since he had the power of every dark one who ever lived including Emma I mean he killed his mother without breaking a sweat.
Regina Isn't weak the thing is the show downplayed her she had such powerful magic and they only let her use fireballs I mean in season 3 she literally turned a mermaid to wood
Yeah me too, didn't like her at first though when I first saw the season but then I met the actress and she was really kind and funny, and beautiful and I realised wow... she is amazing on Once Upon A Time it was jus me who didn't see that :D
I reckon Cora would own that monster like a boss I do feel for the black fairy though I blame blue for it even though shes the most powerful force of evil shes weakened by false confidence
@@samaeltommy7931 Zelena is confirmed to be the strongest of the Mills, and she did nothing. In OUAT, it goes Fiona (with wand) > Zeus > The strongest Genies > Fiona (no wand) > Gothel > Hades/Rumple (all dark ones) > Merlin > Rumple(base)/Zelena(pendant) > Zelena(base)/Ingrid > Cora > Pan >Maleficent > Regina. Fiona is not being touched at her full power.
I like to believe Emma Swan could (hardly) defeat the Black Fairy in a duel, if given proper training. Emma has got the power of love her parents gave her, which automatically makes her powerful. Look at Glinda, she’s probably the purest magic user, but hasn’t got any element that could make her magic grow, like love or hope. Villains have got way more experience and knowledge they’ve gained over the years, that’s why they’re always complicated to defeat. It’s actually sad we didn’t get to see Emma’s potential showing over the seasons, because if there ain’t any villain, Emma hasn’t got an actual reason to use magic. After all, she’s the only savior who survived “her villain”. Although she might know a few spells, if she had the knowledge Rumplestiltskin / The Snow Queen / Black Fairy or even Regina had, and had the actual chance to show her true potential as a witch, like defeating the Black Fairy (which is debatably the strongest villain, if not The Dark One or probably Gothel, Emma Swan could’ve been a literal goddess.
I've come to the conclusion as many times as Regina loses or is knocked out .. she is one of the lowest ranked villains power wise.. If another person has magic she almost loses every time or is knocked around like a pinata
Do you remember when she well The Evil Queen almost killed Zelena and Zelena had magic too And Regina was also able to push her mother who is Cora mills another one of the most powerful villains into the glass and break it while Regina was tied up
I love Regina but Regina always relied on others like her Dad for moral support, Rumplestilkin for tutoring, Sidney as her magic mirror, Graham as the Hauntsman, Hansel and Gretel to fetch her an apple, Jefferson for time travel ( his hat), her gaurds for suricity and she was never alone, when she became a hero she had Henry Emma and David and Mary Maraget. Zelena is stronger than Regina becauae she had to stand on her two feet and her dad was a bully to her, her mum dies ( they is a bit of conflict in the show about Zelena age when her mum died. In season 3 she was a teenager aleast and in Season she was a little girl. Season 3 version I believe but then Despite the fact I watched up to Season 5, and I like Zelena in general, I hate her in Season 3 because Rumplestilkin said to Cora your first born child will react the cruse and It was Regina who did so.)
She's one of the strongest magic users on the series in a way, specially because she knows how to use her magic after being trained by Rumple, but out of the other main characters magic users and the other villains she's the weakest. What makes Regina seem stronger is her strategies, she's a mastermind on her own, also since season 3 she can tap on white and black magic. The reason she also may appear weaker than what she really is, is the fact that all magic comes with a price, she's abused of her magic for a long time and knows the consequences that has brought to herself and people around her so I believe she limits herself in order to not be driven to madness like Rumple or Zelena.
A good way of comparing her is that she's weaker than the Snow Queen, but stronger than the Queens of darkness, maybe on pair with Maleficent or even stronger since she managed to defeat her before.
@@charlesray5949idk because of the prophecy i guess, she did a terrible thing trying to kill Tiger Lily, plus she was banished to that realm where she only harvested more and more power
