I really love your content and, in this case genius. I love your content and, in this case, great. Thank you so much and I know how busy you are, so I'm grateful for your time.
hello, this is Cheick. I'd like to know how do we evaluate a picture of a diamond ring in matrixgold to be able give an estimate of how many grams of material is used, how many diamonds ( carat weight, clarity, color ) is in it?
@@jewellerymadebyhand how do you give an estimate to a customer who brings you her own picture and that she wants the exact same piece. How will you do?
This depends on the experience of each one. In my case, I do everything and I can estimate the costs easily. If you have to go to a 3d designer, the casting, the goldsmith and the seter separately because, in reality, you are the middleman...😶
@@jewellerymadebyhand One thing I have a hard time with, is to give a fair price to my jewelry production. When customer ask me for a quote for custom piece ( for example a ring or bracelet, made especially for them ), I always have trouble setting a right price. If you could tell me what are the guidelines you follow to get a fair pricing, I hope you could help me. Thank you for your videos and your kindness, you do an outstanding job teaching us jewellery making.
Do you make the jewel completely or are you middleman? As I said, if you make the jewel completely, you should have no problem evaluating a correct price. Just by looking at a photo and knowing the size, you should already evaluate its weight in different metals. The same thing happens with diamonds, if you know the size of the diamond and the number, you already know how much they will cost you. You also know how much time you are going to work to manufacture the product and how many consumables you are going to spend. If you are the middleman, I don't know how to advise you.
