Sebastian talked about this scene in an interview and how they were like “we don’t like your hair can you put it in a man bun?” And he was like “but how did Bucky put it in a bun with one arm” 💀💀💀😭😭😭😂
I'm half paralyzed in one arm, so it's basically useless. When I still had long hair, I usually wore buns. If you try, it's very possible. Pick a band, then the hair from the side without the arm, take it to the middle of your head and while holding it take a strand from the side with the arm and take them together, twist them to form a bun and either tuck the hair in or wrap a hairband around it. That's how I did it😂😂😂
To be fair, Ross wasn't as much a victim as she, her brother, and Bucky were. Bucky being framed for their father's murder was a horrific atrocity in itself. And T'challa sparing Zemo to face imprisonment and interrogation was a fitting punishment. Zemo is never going to have a good day ever again, while Bucky gets to have his first good day here in a long time, thanks to Shuri and T'challa. An amusing thought is Zemo being one of the 50% who got dusted by Thanos, and he feels that it is all over for him and he can rest...and then wakes up to find himself still in his cell. Darn, can't get away that easily.
I love this comment 💜 I like this idea so much more than trying to push him into the Captain America role. Too soon. Needs healing time. I hope Marvel spends some quality time showing us his recovery process :)
He wasn't the one responsible for their deaths ...may be you are too thick skinned to realise he was brainwashed to the extent he could have killed himself as well if ordered to do so ...
Everything about how Shuri treats Bucky is just spectacular. She's gentle; she waits at a distance for him to approach her; she takes the time to ask how he is feeling... It shows that a lot of time has been devoted to building up trust. Shuri has devoted a lot of time to allowing Bucky to see she's trustworthy. And that's beautiful. I wish we got to see more of this bond.
I hope ppl realize how powerful this scene is. How Bucky, a broken white boy looking like the white Jesus, was "Sleep" but now is "Woke" as Shuri schools him about black history and "hidden" African culture. That's the underlining reason behind the dialogue between the two.
And he shows it by telling her to call him Bucky. If you get to call Sgt Barnes "Bucky," you just earned a solid friend for life. Honestly he should have been watching over her in the lab and let Wanda have fun out on the field during Thanos's Army's attack. As soon as the Mind Stone was removed, Wanda would have been back in the lab zippity zap. Bucky would have handled the sneaky infiltrator.
One thing I love about this scene is that it shows that Shuri knows when to tone down her snark. She has been making fun of Ross during the entire time she knows him, but she is outwardly respectful toward Bucky, calling him “Sergeant Barnes” without a hint of satire. I love Shuri so much, and this scene helps me love her even more.
Damn... this story plot where bucky is healed and cured from brainwashing by Hydra in Wakanda is one of many proofs that Marvel Studio really knows how to build a great movie franchise. They know how to connect story between the movies!!
Yeah. That feeling of calmness and piecefullness were totally unique and he just wanted to feel it as more as he can. For the first time after so many decades Bucky is finally free from his bonds of slavery and he is able to enjoy life.
mercurystarr so true! I know they had other characters to attend to but I at least they'd show his augmented strength increase with the vibranium aspect of the arm or something
I hope they keep Bucky relevant. He's on a comparable level to Captain America and Black Panther, as far as I'm aware. Don't want him becoming Steve's own version of Rhodey.
Gusion Rebake I hope they don't take him for granted and choose to push him aside. He's had an interesting change to endure from Civil War into Infinity War. He's just now learning to tap into a different side of himself.
Certainly, but I think T'Challa had a better understanding of what happened, about what happened to Bucky while he was under the dominion of Hydra, and Bucky really wasn't involved with the death of T'Chaka, unlike what happened with Stark's parents... On the other hand, it would be interesting to see Bucky knowing a world entirely different from everything he saw and lived through Shuri, 'cause she's responsible for the first rays of light in his long shadowy life.
“I had a little calm in Wakanda...” Bucky - The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. I could not help but to come back to this scene. I wish Bucky had more time to have that calm in his life. He deserves it more than anybody. Thanks for uploading.
This scene warms my heart so much. After all Bucky had been through, he deserved this much peace and healing. Thank you, Shuri, and Wakanda. (At least, let's not talk about what happened in IW for now).
I hope it falcon and the winter soldier starts off with him leaving wakanda and being more peaceful then he finds out Sam of all people is replacing Steve and that's what leads him to being angry once more they are seen arguing in the trailers lol
He won't even let Sam call him Bucky. Shows how much he appreciates the Wakandans and why he held back while saving Walker's life from them. He'd rather Walker just die than hurt one of them.
@@justme-dk2qu late reply, but these are different instances in sense of Bucky’s mental state. in the civil war “Bucky” is his identity, but in the series it’s an endearment close people use, since his sense of self is no longer tied to the nickname.
@@justme-dk2qu i was replying to zemo part of the comment. i remember about Sam calling him Buck. if i recall correctly calling him Buck was exclusively for Steve
This single scene treated Bucky better than all of Endgame. Honestly! Bucky is taken from Steve thanks to the snap in Infinity War. Then, when he comes back, Steve is taken from Bucky by time travel. I understand that Steve wanted a life with Peggy, but Bucky barely even has Sam anymore. Sam will be busy as Steve's "heir" and Bucky will never see Steve again. EVER. Bucky didn't get to see Peggy. He didn't get to see his best friend's wedding. I wish they could have brought Peggy back to modern day. Then they would have the best of both worlds. Steve would get to be with Peggy, but stay with Bucky, Sam, and the other Avengers too. Bucky has been through hell and back more than once. He got his wish of not wanting to fight anymore, but he doesn't have any family left (that we know of). Sam is there, but Sam isn't Steve. Bucky deserves happiness, and love, and Endgame gave him nothing. Maybe it's just me, but Bucky doesn't get a quarter of the love he deserves.
I agree with everything you just said except for bringing Peggy to the modern world. Maybe they could do something to have Steve’s friends from the future come to his wedding, but I don’t think Peggy could stay in the modern world. She’s too important to history
I like how he pauses for a moment, just looking at the lake. The peacefulness and beauty of it. It was probably quite some time since he was last that serene.
This scene treated Bucky better than the entirety of Civil War. He was perfect in the other two cap movies but in Civil War he feels like a plot device motivator for Cap. I want a movie featuring Bucky without Cap in it. We deserve to see a POV to a great character. Maybe a buddy comedy team up with Rocket. (If you've seen Infinity War you'll understand)
Maybe at some point the mantle of Captain America will be passed onto him and then he'll have a solo movie....though personally I think he needs a few years away from fighting.
@@7skyhorse Well, Bucky actually did have a younger sister, so its probably quite natural for him to view her in that way. Also, we know that being protective towards people he sees as smaller and weaker than himself is Bucky's default setting and I think he spent a lot of his childhood protecting his sister, so.... no reason to assume he didn't view Shuri in similar terms. In fact, its very likely Bucky's actual sister had died by then, and so maybe he kind of saw Shuri as a bit like a replacement for his long-lost sister who he missed a lot. Although there is some speculation Bucky's sister *might* have still been alive. Many people, me included, would love to see them reuniting in the MCU, and Bucky meeting her children and grandchildren.
Shuri: "Come. There is much more for you to learn." Bucky: "... Like what?" Shuri: *grins mischievously* Bucky: *is immediately nervous.* "Stop. Stop that. You're freaking me out." Shuri: *grins wider* "I'm going to introduce you to vines. We're going to drive T'Challa insane." Bucky: ".....Ok....." (???????)
@@jackieb.2642 you don't have to do it to explain it. "Have you heard of BDSM, Sergeant Barnes??" "BDS.... What?" "COME WITH ME, YOURE GJ OING TO LOVE IT." "....ok...." *two hours later* "SHURI, WHAT THE F U C K???" *maniacal teenage laughter.*
Bucky with the Wakandans just mends my heart ... you know, after every other Bucky scene violently tears it apart. So many Wakandan characters seem to show him so much empathy in a way that he just doesn't find back in the US.
Shuri was one of the only people who knew what he'd been through. Literally: she found the HYDRA programming in his brain and helped remove it and *saw* some of his traumatic memories. Its easy to judge people for thier behaviour without knowing or understanding what might have made them act that way. The Wakandans understood that Bucky was a victim, not a monster. They realized that he was not the Winter Soldier, but a wounded person who was naturally kind, sensitive and protective but just hadn't been allowed to do any those things for decades. I think that is why they were more empathetic and compassionate towards him. More people need to understand what Bucky's been through, and then they might not treat him like crap as they do in the Falcon and the Winter Soldier series.
There’s an interview where they were talking about how Bucky’s hair should be like that, but they said “how would he do it with one arm.” And someone said “the kids could do it.”
I like how Marvel developing their side characters.Bucky and Falcon were just sidekicks in most movies. Finally they got their own show and they truly deserves it.Also I am sure Shuri will play a lead role in Black Panther 2.And wow,SHE LOOKS SO GORGEOUS.
Bucky really tryna take on Zemo, Wolverine, and Deadpool for my favorite Marvel character. So peaceful and such a developed character played beautifully by Sebastian. Bravo
What I really like about this is how TChalla forgave Bucky even though he didn’t kill his father, he still welcome his home to Bucky and helped him get rid of the brainwashing in Bucky’s head.
I would love to see Shuri in Falcon and the Winter Soldier. I want to see more of the bond between her and Bucky. I read somewhere that in her in-world journals she described the damage to him as very complex and that the probability of truly reversing the damage was just about impossible. For Shuri to say that, with all her confidence and genius, and to basically admit that she was stumped on how to erase all of the damage goes to show that she knows better than anyone the amount of damage done to Bucky. Which is why I love how gentle she is with him, giving him space, being respectful. I think it'd be interesting to see them share a sort of brother/sister bond and tag-teaming on Sam.
Letitia Wright looked like a true superhero at the world premiere of Avengers: Infinity War in Los Angeles, California. Styled by Teen Vogue alum Ade Samuel, Letitia wore a mix
I would love to see like a short film of Bucky training at Wakanda. His whole point there was to clear his mind of the Winter Soldier mind control. So it would be cool if we could have Bucky Barnes come back as a warrior. Could you imagine a 100 year old WW2 vet Wakandan assassin? That would be badass
I already thought Shuri was an awesome character. But after this, I love her even more. She was one of those who helped bucky recover and I just appreciate her her sm ❤️
Seeing Shuri with those kids warmed my heart. It was so touching that it almost made me question why she's speaking in English to them when they are Wakandan.
@Jeremiah Harrington, of course, he was. After finally overcoming his Hydra conditioning & starting a new life can be overwhelming. Plus being a guest in a foreign land which is especially all new to him & having a bunch of young kids in your face while you try to sleep can be lot.
The kinship between Bucky and Shuri is astonishing they endless amount of respect she has for him is amazing I hope they delve deeper into it more I want to see more scenes with Shuri and Bucky
For the first time, Bucky is having a peaceful life Since his rest was defined by attack and war he finally found peace while living in Wakanda Good, Killmonger did not know
Come to think of it that secret would have been crucial to his survival. If Killmonger found out about Bucky while he was king he would have ordered him executed.
