I agree - Angela killed her part. They were going to do (before of course knowing about Chadwick, may he RIP) A Black Panther movie with his son. The tears they shed for T'Challa were real for Chadwick. I loved this movie. From the soundtrack, to the acting, to the effects. Trevor Noah as GRIOT was an unexpected pleasure. Was also quite good how when Shuri woke up in the ancestral plane she was immersed underwater...yet when she emerged from the water she was completely dry...very sweet detail to add on Coogler's part. Namor: "How is never as important as why" Killmonger: "How is never as important as why"

I liked the movie well enough, but I just didn't like Shuri being the MC. She has always been an okay Side Character, and her trying to carry The Movie was obviously too much. So I'm happy she chose to be just a Guardian instead of.. Queen. I also really loved K'uk'ul-kan (Namor).. and his 2 Generals. I am also happy T'Challa has a son.

I’m old school marvel , so I’m sorry to say NAMOR would have destroyed BLACK PANTHER his royal guard, the fake iron thing and the 90 pound cat suit sister by himself ! No need for his people to get involved. Plus he doesn’t get his power for water. He is top level marvel bad ass. In the comics he destroys wakanda.

Yesterday was my birthday, so my sister came over and we watched the movie (we intended to see it in the theater, didn't happen). I really enjoyed it. We both managed to avoid being spoiled so we were HOT about Queen Ramonda and pleasantly surprised to see Killmonger. And little T'Challa was SO cute, that was great casting. I know Chadwick is very proud of his BP family.

I'm going to tell the truth. Wakanda isn't shit. If Wakanda is so great, then why does it allow the other African countries around it to go on starving? While the people of Wakanda live in luxury with flying cars and force fields, an average of 175,000 people died of starvation in Ethiopia by March of last year.

this movie was OK not as good as the 1st one. but then my interest in the MCU since captain America retired in end game has dropped way off. and by cap I mean steve rodgers I have never had any interest in off shoot secondary versions of a character. IE: if I am watching a batman movie I want to see bruce wayne I don't have interest in the spin off pas the torch versions.

Every single person in this film was just amazing. Chadwick Boseman was a treasure and I think we will miss so much artistry that could have been from him. Personally, as someone who has experienced the intense grief of losing a sibling, I loved this film more then the first, though that one was amazing too. My favorite character is still M'Baku, played by Winston Duke. He's amazing.

Queen mother gave me goose bumps. She was a tough bird. The T'Challa character is the best human being portrayed in the MCU...and I am team Cap 100%. I don't know the Ree Ree storyline, but I thought her part could have just been covered with a line; "the americans made a machine." Maybe I missed something. I can't hear well at all. Hopefully, she will grow on me with more story. Namor was perfect for what I'd hoped. He plays the long game. I didn't expect to tear up when M'baku yelled "The Black Panther LIVES!" This one topped the first for me I think. I have to see it again before I'd swear to it.

He would’ve not wanted people to know he was sick. He was not that guy. He did so many things and he did it without media attention. He helped so many people and was mentor to so many kids quietly without fanfare. He didn’t need that attention. I really believe, he wanted to die with dignity quietly on his own terms. And that’s what he did. He left this world with dignity, grace and humbly. Just like he left his life.

So much to talk about with this review. I just watched it for the first time last night, so it's all still fresh in my mind too. First of all, the world is a better place because of Chadwick Bozeman. We...yes, WE didn't deserve him, but he still entertained us, despite his own personal battle with cancer. I can pretty much guarantee that there wasn't a whole lot of "acting" needed for that opening sequence, since in a way it was a memorial service for their friend, Chadwick. I totally agree with you that Michael B. Jordan absolutely was the perfect choice to play Killmonger. As for the water bombs used by Namor's army, it makes total sense. Water is THE most powerful force on the planet. It is more destructive than anything else. And the soundtrack? Oh man, it is definitely the best soundtrack I've heard since Gladiator. I'm buying it for sure. I could go on and on, but this movie was so well done. I can't wait to see where the story arc goes, with M'Bakou and T'Challa's son. Winston Duke is perfect in his role, and I'm glad he survived the movie.

I admittedly cried multiple times throughout this movie, which I believe is probably only the second time I've cried in an MCU movie. Ryan Coogler absolutely crushed the directing of this. At times it felt a little too long, but it's still a beautifully made movie.

The Visuals, music, actors in their parts were all great (except for the Ankle Wings). How they went about it, the writing, and decisions made left me unsure about my feelings towards the movie. I’m in no rush to watch it again after seeing it in the theater.

I lost my mother in 2022 and seeing this in the theaters for the first time, I was IN TEARS during SEVERAL scenes!! They did a great job of depicting loss and grief. The first movie was celebration and this was grief/loss.

I respect Chadwick Boseman as an actor. He was incredibly skilled, and he brought the Black Panther to life that made the character larger than life but still a mortal man. His decisions about what to do or not do with his own life, what to tell people or not tell people--those were his choices, and I wouldn't want any others forced on him. But I can't respect them. He left people behind who are wondering what they could have done, what signs they missed. He left people behind who loved him, as a friend, as a family member, who will spend the rest of their lives wondering why he didn't say anything about his illness. They'll spend the rest of their lives feeling guilty. I'm not demeaning him. His choices were his own and they should have been. That doesn't mean I agree with them or think they were the best choices. Those of us left behind by people we loved and thought we knew, we pay a price for their death. We pay a price for their pain. We pay that price for the rest of our lives.

You sound as if he committed suicide. He had cancer. If he decided to tell people what would they have accomplished? There was nothing any of his friends or family could do for him to make him better. He didn’t want people to feel pity for him. If people knew they probably would’ve told him to slow down and stop working which is something he obviously did not want to do. He handled his business they way he saw fit and whether you agree or don’t condone it is really of no consequence.

His choices were his choices, whether or not I agreed with them. As someone who lost people due to suffering in silence, though, I *don't* agree with them. Again, I wouldn't have made him make any other decision, as what he did with his life was his own choice, not mine.

@@Thylonicus I actually did read everything you said but I guess it’s left up to the reader’s interpretation. “He left people behind wondering what they could’ve done, what signs they missed.” That’s typically something you hear when someone commits suicide. I feel that he was determined to live what life he had left to the fullest without people feeling sorry for him or looking at him with that look of “I’m so sorry you’re going through this. What can I do?”, because there was nothing anybody COULD do. I would like to hope that his friends and family have comfort in the fact that he left this world on his own terms which allowed a huge legacy to be left for future generations to enjoy. It’s a sad situation but in the end it’s up to that person to decide how he or she will handle it. It doesn’t matter whether we agree.

You're wrong. There was nothing anyone could have done for him. I'm sure his family knew. The people important to him. All telling the rest of us would have done is get useless pity. People would have petitioned to take the movie franchise from him. They suggested that Kilmonger be brought back ffs!! I can't believe you say you can't respect someone who gave of himself. No matter how it hurt him. It's okay to not be strong enough to do the same. But to downplay his choices and fortitude? Something is broken in you.
