The thing that struck me the most was when Namor told Shuri that " Only the most broken people become good leaders". He then proceeded to break her by taking the last remaining family member she had.

I think the reason Shuri took T'Challa's death so hard is because, not only was she dealing with her grief at losing her brother, she also felt guilty because she couldn't save him. I loved that at the end of the movie, as she cried for him, she also smiled at her memories as the wind was blowing. I think she felt him in the breeze, just like her mother said she had (even if she didn't believe her mom at the time).

I believe this film was truly incredible. Oh my God, Letitia Wright went through so many ranges of emotions so freaking effortlessly Grief, Anger, Apathy, Empathy and finally Peace! T'Challa character mean so much to so many people I was so happy they gave him a legacy to live on in.

My condolences to the both of you 😢 The movie was an A+ because even though Chadwick wasn't there physically they made sure his Spirit was in every aspect. Yet the smartest person who literally know how an infinity stone works, somehow didn’t think to cryo Chamber tchalla(like they did bucky in civil war) to keep him alive until she figures out a way to save tchalla. Words in yellow were translated from English - African languages that the wakanda speak. The white words are translations to English from Spanish and the blue words at translations to English from the Mayan language. Mayans usually speak both Mayan and Spanish. Similar to the wakandas soaking in their language and english.

This is an awesome film. I didn’t get a chance to see it in the theater. I watched it as soon as it was on D+ (3am on 2/1, about 36 hours after my wife’s passing). I didn’t make it 2 minutes. Tears were streaming down my face. It hit me especially hard as I’m grieving the loss of my wife, who passed on 1/30. We were together 22 years and it wasn’t long enough. ❤😢

Condolences to you and your family, I unfortunately have a similar story about 2022...I lost 3 cousins last year, the one I was closest to died the day after Wakanda Forever's trailer dropped, so I was in shambles before the movie even finally came out! My theory about the dislike of IronHeart is people don’t like change. Some people don’t like the direction the comics went in by making female versions of legacy characters in the 1st place; holding fast to Ironman & Thor. Refusing to allow for new characters to carry the mantle. There are also comic enthusiasts who gripe about source material to screen adaptations. Any deviation is viewed as a misstep to them 🤦🏾‍♀️.

She doesn't have an A.I. yet, that's why she was asking Shuri about hers, Griot. With Ironheart getting her own show sometime this year or next, she'll probably will create her own A.I. The problem is that RDJ just recently said he wasn't coming back and turned down an offer to do so, so who knows what that will happen now, which isn't a fault to the character if RDJ decided to return...

In the mythical world of Mermaids, sailors would fall victim to the "Song of Sirens" which would render them in a hypnotized-like state and they would jump overboard and drown in the waters. Ryan Coogler and company borrowed that mythos and implemented it here, with the Talocan sea race. Your aunt was the first person I've seen in a review or have talked to personally that caught that. i can't speak to why anyone would have negative feelings towards RiRi because I personally don't feel strongly one way or the other but she is a very recently created character, first appearing in Iron Man comics in March 2016 and shortly after in January 2017 officially becoming Ironheart so I guess it didn't really feel like an organic evolution of a character that had become a fan favorite, she was created to be a black female Iron Man

WF had its moments, Score, Acting especially Angela Bassett! Intro to my Boi Attuma & Talokan! Overall not as Great or Rewatchable as the First BP Movie imo! R.I.P. Chadwick but I felt they should've took more time off to grieve for Chad & then Continued to flesh out T'Challa & continued his Story by recasting ! Didn't like they portrayed the real life tragedy of Chad into the Fictional character T'Challa when the herb keeps T'Challa immune to cancer & illnesses. Chad wouldn't have wanted the lead character of the franchise to die along with him.

@@mrflickswatches the m-she-u is something that was exposed a while back. It’s disney wanting to get rid of most of the male superheroes and replace them with female superheroes. Marvel studios and Disney laughed this off and denied it but with each passing movie it is becoming more evident. The death of T’Challa and his replacement is yet another step in that direction.

Within a vacuum there’s no problem but look at the bigger picture and how it’s going forwards and it’s not hard to see the way the wind is blowing in the MCU. They could have recast the character of T’Challa, marvel cinema have recast before it wouldn’t have been the first time. Or they could have made his son older and given him a bigger role as the next Black Panther, and made it about his journey but they didn’t because they have an agenda.

I believe it was done this way as a sort of bridge between now and when prince T'Chala is old enough to take the mantle. Even though they change it up, Marvel still takes most characters from the comics, and in the comics Shuri did become the Black Panther for a few issues, I think they're just taking this bit from the source material. But like @Mr and Mrs FLICKS says: we ll have a different opinion and view.
