😥😥 When I saw my now 18 year son's face after his 1st love broke his heart...man, I could barely hold it together. He waited until it was late at night...knowing I was still awake..just me and him. He turned the corner to come into the living room with me. I will never forget his face for the rest of my life. He was in love. He had been faithful, loyal, faithful, thoughtful, full of love for her, and she cheated. It broke him. At least he felt comfortable coming to me. He was broken. Ugly crying. Us women are strong, but when we see men cry??? omg. He did move on, and is in a WONDERFUL relationship for more than 1 yr. We love his gf. She LOVES him. He LOVES her. I know he can be vulnerable with her, and if not, he is with me. That is healthy. Moms...teach you boys it's okay to breakdown with someone who won't judge them.

This reminds me of my late husband. He worked 80+ hours a week and did everything for me and our kids, always putting us first. He worked physical labor with multiple herniated disks, but wouldn't take care of himself. He died at 45 from suicide, leaving me and our children, then aged 6 to 23. In tears now.

I wish your daughter well and you and your family the strength to deal with your challenges. But it also brings great joy and love and pride as they achieve their milestones. My niece has Dandy Walker syndrome and hydrocephalus,she has problems and is now starting higher education. It’s my privilege to help her push for her dreams and to help her with everyday life. Big up to all the men out there supporting their families. Talk, talk, talk and get support if you need it, it’s nothing to be ashamed of. It takes guts.

What he is saying is facts! It drove my dad to substance issues he tried to hide. He finally wanted to get sober and I being a nurse cared for him during withdrawals. 6 weeks later my mom felt he was good enough to drive to get dinner but unfortunately he took prescriptions he had and drank and she found him face down in 3 feet of water dead......I lived 5 house's away and ran there thinking i could resuscitate him...but his soul was gone. Sometimes we don't get a second chance......and its sad.

Really powerful song and a touching reaction from you. There is a huge hole in me that I'm torn over. I want that family that I can protect and provide for, but I don't know if I will even be able to provide for myself moving forward. In a rollover car accident I suffered a Traumatic Brain Injury and cannot work right now. I can barely go out in public without my brain becoming overwhelmed and shutting down. How could I ever protect and provide for a wife and kids. Then I also wonder, what women would want a broken man like me. I'm physically and mentally damaged. Is it even fair to try and find a wife. I will never be hole, I will never get back to the person I was before the accident. I will never be able to work a "normal" job. I will never be able to handle the stresses of life well. Is it right for me to allow someone to take on my burden when I know the struggles I will have to live with. I just don't know. So many questions and so few answers.

Been waiting for this one. I hope you get to the mega remix too. So many talented artists really opened up on that one.

I remember going to the neonatal unit in Charlotte to see my little cousin. Me and her dad lasted all of 3 minutes and had to leave. All those babies in incubators. Knowing some wouldn't make it. We both was tearing up and had to get out of there. The folks the work in that unit are so very special and so much stronger than me.

Fathers are just as important as mothers... fathers are pillars to a daughters foundation, they teach women how to be protected and when your world is crumbling fathers are supposed to be the first line of protection.. But men should be able to be vulnerable and have outlets as well. They are human even if we see them as men of steel. Do you mind if I ask what type of arthritis your daughter had? The amount of insurance denial letters for biologics I received was incomprehensible. I am beyond happy you were able to get your daughter the treatment she needed! #takesavillage

What most people don't understand is that we can't be vulnerable to loved ones. Yes, technically we can, but it changes the dynamic with those loved ones forever. You can't undo how they view you from that moment forward, forever. It's better for them that we don't, and that's why we do it.

It’s totally not that anybody is saying men work harder or sacrifice more than women… I feel the difference is women are allowed to admit they need help and will get support from friends and family more readily. Society expects men to just manage and ‘man up’… things are changing on that front slowly but you only have to look at male suicide rates to know there’s truth to what I say.
