Like a pen nib!
Quintessential Geezer bassline. It goes real hard and shows you all the tricks Geezer is usually up to in his playing. The opening solo is one of my favorite ways to warm up or try a new bass.
The opening sound is done via a push pull pot which switches the mudbucker to parallel wiring. Because it's an Artec, the coils are out of phase which makes the sound rather tinny - but occasionally still useful. :)

Great job brother, my favorite Sabbath on bass. The string bends and the style you nailed Gezzer. Can't see the headstock, you mind me asking what bass your playing? I ask because looks like a Gibson EB-0 or maybe Epiphone. My EB-0 is a 66, my first bass at 13. Bless you if it's an old EB-0 it's in great shape. Another question, what effect did you use after the solo? This could be am old video but will like it after I finish watching. Probably watch twice, nice!!

Hey, thanks for the kind words :) It's an Epiphone EB-0 with an Artec pickup swapped into it. I didn't use any effects, during the intro I had the pickup switched to parallel via a push/pull pot. Man do I wish it were in fact a gibby, although I still love it as if it were, and I'll be shopping for a vintage EB-3 in a few years tops I bet. Sounds like your EB-0 is in good hands, I hope you play the hell out of that beast. :D

@@torchmusic27 EB-0 is a little bit in retirement but I play it once and a while, kinda like my 74 Jazz but the short scale us very fun to play. I have a 2018 Epiphone SG, closet thing you can get to and EB-3, and I new your bass dud not have the stock pup because I'm not happy with the fake Mudbucker in the Epiphone. I have been looking for a replacement neck Humbucker for My Epiphone and the Artec is on the short list, don't want to spend the money on the Kurt's Novac or even the Dimarzio. The Artec sounds good and its a hell of a lot cheaper the the others and believe it's a drop in pup, either that or have to open up the pup cavity just a little, again great job.

I can absolutely recommend the Artec, it's worth every cent. It's an easy drop in replacement, only on a Gibson SG bass does the cavity have to be drilled out.
