I’m from Philly I remember going up NY back in the 70s Harlem, Brooklyn, Queens. I went to the Bronx maybe twice. Both times we got into fights not even a 1/2 hour in . I’m 57 years old now and I still avoid the Bronx. The story’s these guys tell are the truth. Only thing I would add is while they was doing their thing we were doing our thing in Philly and we learned from each other . That being said we still give NY their flowers 💐

I get teary eyed every time I view a Michael WayneTV production. Reading these comments, I appreciate everyone's input. The Tri State area rocks that I ran with & those that I came across shed very little light on our roots. Imagine being a child asking their surviving relatives about their parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, brothers, sisters, cousins, etc & no one around them would tell them who they are, where they come from. 🎼"SOMETIMES I FEEL LIKE A MOTHERLESS CHIIIIIILD"🎶 😔😪 Michael Wayne your publications are just getting to me in the Aquarian Age, the Age of Truth. Its now the summer 2019. Just started viewing your channel in 2018 no earlier than 2017 definitely. I posed questions as a pre teen. Shows how long mfs was mute. Same with "B-52's". Ninjas wouldn't even tell me what the "B" stood for, although some would say "Bombers". In ATL they would say "Alto Style", "Knees & Elbows". My father Jimmy James Leon Mackey born October 1936, taught by his father Harold Mackey Sr, snuck in the U.S. Army, lied about his age. Daddy claimed he beat every fighter the Dundee Brothers had in the gym the 1st day that he walked in to the 5th Street Gym. Met Ali the first week that Ali got to Miami & introduced Ali to 5th Street Gym. Daddy was Lightweight Champion of Florida & California. Daddy has trained greats such as Aaron Pryor, Trevor Berbick, Shannon Briggs, Kickboxing Great Tony Palmore, & many others. Jimmy Mackey had also become a Nation Of Islam Minister by the time I was born. My father NEVER trained me. EVER. So to be out on the streets runnin wit my teams, my circles & to not be guided into the Way...Man it really really hurt me deeply. I thank Allah for Protection, Guidance, Mercy, etc because this is basically all I had. I thank Allah that I have never lost a fight in my entire life. A fight. No reference to bullshittin wit my peoples. I mean dat do or die shit. Real life or death scenarios, bumpin heads with total strangers type shit. NEVER. & Ive been in a few here & there. Alhamdulillah I walked into Professor Jerry Denson's Sanuces Ryu class in 2003-04 for the first time in my life to ever be taught in a formal "class", a dojo by a 8th (?) Degree Black Belt. Im like 30, 31& my Muslim word is bond to Allah the very 1st thing that came out of my mouth when Professor Denson inquired as to what it was that I sought to gain from his class was "52's". I had no one up until that point come & tell me anything about the Sanuces system although I was surrounded by practitioners my entire life. What is even stranger is that I even told childhood friends that I used anything that was useful. I wouldn't lean on any one discipline. As I got older Manhattan George FTW would say "Whatever's clever". All my life my soul, my heart, my psyche communicated with that of Doctor Moses Powell. Many of Doc's main concepts/principles were what I had been operating on, defending the crown as a youth, not knowing that I was actually practicing much of what I sought to learn. It took 30 years before someone even spoke the name Musa to me, Sensei Jerry Denson... Hell I had just started hearing about Sensei Herb now Grandmaster Herbie Thompson in like 2001!!! Needless to say, it has been a long time coming & we seek knowledge from the cradle to the grave. May Allah be pleased with you for your efforts, Brother Michael Wayne, & thanks to everyone for the comments. & everybody on your rest days between workouts checkout rvbeypublications.com, obashangoel.com I think you would enjoy it. Peace!

There's nothing like gratitude. I got teary eyes when phase acknowledged Willie as the man who taught him everything. Then Willie said his family was the first black family to move to Bronxdale in '52 or '54.. wow. Had it been in the south Bronx, but Bronxdale was strictly white. Pioneers. My respect to those two.
