@mmorales105 Thank you and yes used the acetone for the cracks to make them more craggy. Also brushed it onto any other places that had blemishes in the foam to exaggerate it even more. See the western tombstone (Doc Holliday) to see extended video of the process.

That is gray latex Drylok paint which is a basement water-proofing paint you can get at Lowe's. If you can only find white have the paint counter tint it for you. I now use a new glue - Glidden Gripper which is a paint primer you can get at Home Depot. I still use foamboard caulk for seams (to fill in). Go to my channel page and look for the link to my blog. There you will find detailed instructions and parts/tool lists. Have fun and Happy Halloween!

@nodnarbreleehw Thank you :) I use foamboard glue gotten at Home Depot. The DAS clay just stuck on by themselves. I did get it really wet first. The first two coats of paint are latex Drylok. Then used exterior latex paints for the lettering and drybrushing. Used artist's acrylic paints for the raw sienna and green. Check out my channel and you will see the other videos.
@Scaryladyvideos
@Scaryladyvideos 12 лет назад
Thanks :) I usually buy my Drylok at Lowe's because they carry the gray tinted version. Also - be sure to get the latex version and not the oil one.

@gmr12508 If it's the tool with the yellow handle - that's called a Stanley SureForm Shaver. If it's the wood-handled one that was thin like a pen then it is a sculptor's tool. Don't know the name of it because it came in a kit. It's like a thicker EXacto knife. I used another sculptor's tool that was a loop to help pop out the little squares of styro for the PVC channel.
@Scaryladyvideos
@Scaryladyvideos 12 лет назад

For mine (which are detail overkill) it's about two weeks. But there is a lot of overnight drying steps so it's 2ish hour sessions occasionally.

@Scaryladyvideos
@Scaryladyvideos 11 лет назад
Lately I had run into that problem but have switched to a hot knife so haven't figured out what the issue was. With the Dremel I use the 561 bit. Caveat though - I'm not 100% certain of this though. I've gotten confused on which bit in the kit doesn't glob the foam on the end. It could be this other one - the 560 Drywall cutting bit. I've since switched to using a hot knife (Engraver) so I haven't verified the foam globbing issue. I've also thought that perhaps it was a dull bit. Hope that helps
