Still worth it, IMO. Still using a BB Q5 as my daily drive in April 2024. Was checking this out as the Q5 battery took a dive and shut down 2 days out of the last 21 days. Otherwise, still going strong. Nice vid, thanks.
Had this as my back up phone from 2020 to 2022 with WhatsApp and telegram. Not switched it on in a while so just wanted to see if it's worth digging out. Just to add it feels great when holding it, perfect weight and texting feels so nice
Definitely something nostalgic about using a device with a physical keyboard. One company I wish would revive their phone would be HP and their Palm line of phones. Loved the design back in the day, web OS was so good.
Love this old and good fashioned way of communicating. Especially if your older I am 73 and write in sentences usually and rarely use abbreviations which all younger people do. I want to use this phone again how do I do it seems the battery does not work at all anymore.
The nostalgia hits hard every time I use my blackberry classic. However it would be quite awesome to get a network carrier in US to start working with it.
BB10 devices is now a glorified dumbphone. It still works however you'll be lucky if your phone carriers still carries 2G/3G phones as most BB10 devices don't support VoLTE.
I got the error message at start up and I had to reboot it 4 times before my Mint chip started working...talk and text were fine...minimal web browsing...What's App...pictures worked...music worked...
I’m tired of typing on glass. Does the BB10 Hub for email and text messaging still work? I want to buy a Classic that runs on Verizon. Would moving my existing SIM card work?
@@ronavena Normal phone calls & normal text messaging is still working perfectly. But BB services are not working including BB hub & email. We can't sign into our email. I saw a video, a guy installing custom rom like android apps or something and then the playstore works.(it works, I also installed and then deleted) So by doing that I hope you can install gmail and sign in. But not sure about it though.
my classic won't allow me to add my email account or access certain websites :-( I really wanted to switch from my keyOne to the classic for my work phone daily driver..
So apparently Mint mobile works for some people. My problem is when they ask for the IMEI I don't have it, obviously, because I haven't bought the phone yet...so how is someone in general supposed to check the compatibility of a phone they don't have?
Hey Djobo Kuwali, Depending on the site. You can private message the seller requesting he/she to send you the IMEI number so you can check on your with carrier if the device is in fact compatible. Also, just a tip if you have Tmobile. You can check the status on the main site. Hope this helps!
I needed to log in on my old bbm, it had the email address of a relative I've lost contact with. I can't log in it shows some server issue. I understand bb servers have been shut down but this sucks.
