I think the YG formula is showing its flaws. You can't give a group so few comebacks, so few songs, over this period of time and still think of them as a coherent group. They will try to branch out, just to give something to their fans. So, they are models, dance instructors, or vloggers. And occasionally they get together and do actual BP stuff. If they had been managed more effectively, they would have sharp vocals and choreo. But if you're a company that sits around and counts their piles of money, this kind of stuff happens.

all I hear is facts. Blackpink lost their passion for music and it shows, watching these shows make me wonder what are they doing there because it looks like they were forced there. I had to get a ticket for their show but after seeing what’s going on in that shows I decided to not waste my money on that

if i messed up repeatedly time after time on my job i would get fired. why is it different for them? especially with the fans paying hundreds or thousands of dollars to see them live dont they have the conscience to at least practice before? What is being an idol to them if not performing for fans? Ive been to concerts of other artists and they have shown so much energy and love into their performances. even learning sentences and singing some songs in my language to show their love for their fans. Going above and beyond to give back what the fans have paid for. I think what blackpink lacks is the connection to their fans and proper experience performing on stage.

Thing is, BLINKs brings this on themselves. I honestly cannot fathom how 3-4 years of STRAIGHT COMPLAINING still has you following the group, obsessively, even. Blinks can't accept the criticism, while, at the same time, criticizing BLACKPINK. Frustrated about the new album? Proceeds to buy three copies. Didn't like the title track? Proceeds to stream it all day to like the song. Too little tracks to make a whole concert on? Buys tickets anyway. BLINKs constantly sabotage themselves and puts the blame on hate and antis.

When people tell me “well you try doing what they’re doing, I bet you couldn’t do any better”, I say, YEAH, I probably could. I’m a dancer and I wouldn’t want to waste people’s time and money for whatever they’re doing. Also, as another ktuber brought up, they were the ones who wasted the majority of their teenage years training for this

This is why you take more than three months to prepare and make arrangements with choreography and performances. When you prep for a concert, it’s not just the dance. These girls knew of the concert at a very minimum 1 year before. Considering it takes 1-5 years to get a concert up n booked and planned, it’s doubtful, highly doubtful that they didn’t know at min 1 year in advance Now, considering they’re the #1 girl group in the world, they should have taken it upon themselves to get their vocals in check, work on their breathing, going to the gym, get those lessons in independently ahead of time and then do the group practices. That doesn’t take 3 months, it takes much much longer than three months. Because the technicalities have to be laid out and matched with the stages, all of this should have been prepped 1 year in advance and practiced up until maybe a week before the concert. Every other celebrity and idol has to do this, why is it that a girl group, absent for half their careers, can’t make this effort? This doesn’t fall on YG. Idols are responsible for their image first, before the company. It doesn’t take the company, to get you to a gym. It doesn’t take the company, to get you to practice choreography, either alone or with the group. It doesn’t take the company, to get you to practice breathing techniques and your vocals. Considering the girls all had these lessons in training they should be quite familiar with what exactly has to be done to get your vocals, your lungs, your chest and so on warmed up and improved. Let’s not forget. These girls have been doing it for 12 years. They joined YG and trained since 2010 at the min, and have a 6 year career to add. These girls aren’t rookies, but even with their new concert, it looks like they’re rookies. There’s a lot of flaws in that one too, but now, as per normal, the groups going to get an alarming amount of praise… for the sake of praise not because they actually deserve it We all work hard and we all work a lot but this is a concert where people are spending $500 to $1000+ to go to. There shouldn’t be any of this. This is legitimately coming from someone who find their songs good and would listen to them. This wasn’t that grandiose of a concert to deserve that price tag This wasn’t that grandiose of a performance to deserve that price tag If it’s for the sake that Blackpink’s the #1 girl group in the world, then why can’t they match their works with that title? It’s not hard to ask for. It legitimately isn’t. Their coachella performance was far better than this and that’s odd People have to start being objective because if this is the bar people will accept things at, that’s exactly what they’re gonna put out. Praise and applaud, but just know that you’re accepting the bare minimum and stating that that kind of level is all that’s needed for a ticket that costs $1000 USD When other idol concerts and celebrity concerts put off more energy at a far less of a price, that means there’s something wrong That that price isn’t justified. We can get our parties in without having to break the bank

Like people that go to college for a profession. They trained to became idols, you cannot mess up so badly. It's so sad because I actually waited 2 years for them to come back, I was so excited for all the activities as a group and.... they gave us nothing

I completely agree with you..... I was a blink once and I still remember how enthusiastic they were when they debuted but right now I don't know why they are even on that stage lol.... Their mistakes in this tour are not just some small simple mistakes.... They are a complete mess, worse than a rookie group and I don't actually blame YG for everything.... Because I don't see any passion in them, I think they are more into their fashion shows which gives them more money and fame with little work.... Just look at their boring faces, I pity those people who still support them, baby them and wasting their hard earned money on some lazy idols who barely showed any progress in both discography and performance.... Even the back dancers have better stage presence than BP..... Such a shame

Rosie even said they had 2-3 months free and their seclude was empty and the whole group was together like they could have practice then but they didn't and like seriously 2 years is enough maybe more than enough to atleast carry a world tour and even if they are tiered then they would have messed up in 1-2 performances but they had messed up in like half of them....... and this is coming from a blink since 2017 ..... I watched their old performances and saw a big difference in their old performances it looked like the actually cared and wanted to give their fans the best and now it's like they don't even want to be there......

YALLL I FUCKING WENT TO THE SHOW IN DALLAS 😭😭😭 I WAS SOOOOOO EXCITED but literally got scoldings from my mom for paying sucha high amount for sucha a bad performance....first of all VERY VERY VERY BAD lightening and their voices were soooo SOOOO SOOOO FREAKING LOW...i couldn't hear anything except the live band... couldnt see the choreography...even though i didn't book a very last seat....my seat was a lil far away from the stage... being there i couldn't hear ANYTHING... BUT the live band was excellent....and lisa and jennie and rosé very openly lipsyncing...and the crowd was completely dead.....

I went to their concert in 2019 and actually, they were a little bit lazy at that time too but overall it was great. But on this tour they seem so tired of being idols and singing and dancing.

I have been into kpop since 2nd gen. And if this happened back then they would have been coined the embarrassment of korea. You never show your fans you have no "passion" to be there. When I saw Taeyang(big bang) he gave 4 encores and a meet and greet after. And he didn't rush people to hurry up and leave. You could go back and talk to him after you already talked to him earlier in line. When I saw Shinee the mics constantly had issues and they still managed to pull off singing and the venue stage was too small for their choreography but they made it work. When I saw Super M they had a day and a half in-between their previous show and you could tell they were tired but they still gave it everything they had. Can't believe 2ne1 was neglected for this. A lot of idols use music as a stepping stone for what they really want to do but to give your fans this level of disrespect and a veteran group at that. I would be livid if I paid $400+ for that show.

it makes me really confused on why YG decided to start the tour in october with ONE WEEK to practice which is mostly wasted choosing outfits, changing choreography or adding new songs what time is there to revise the dances or lyrics i don’t even know how they even pulled this off in the first place

Lisa really is carrying their performances lately, and honestly knowing already the way she is as a mentor, how perfectionist, I can only imagine how frustrated she must be that their members can’t even get into position, let alone do the choreo right

before y’all start to drag me, one thing: i love bp they’re one of my ultimate groups and i used to love watching their performances and buy their albums. i felt weird about the whole tour thing since they released the pink venom teaser in july. idk why but it just felt so rushed. EVERYTHING. the songs on born pink, pink venom and its’ choreography. everything just felt almost..incomplete. as if they didn’t had enough time to finish the songs, choreography etc. and just did all of the cb stuff because people were literally starting to invade their company because we hadn’t had a cb this long. them also attending fashion events and bringing out cosmetic collaborations AND a CAR just seemed so stressed and not well planned. for the album itself. i like it. i’m pleasantly surprised, BUT it’s not enough. they have been in the industry for so long, they can do more, they have the money fame and the right company to be able to be experimenting more. add harmonies in songs,maybe more solo songs, experience in genres and choreographies. there was a good base, yes some songs are FIRE but there can be done SO. MUCH. MORE. tour: for the outfits. I was very surprised to say the least. as someone who is very into the fashion of kpop and loves the concept of matching with fashion and state setting and artist experiencing more as well with their own ambassador brands. and you can not, can not tell me that this successful girl group with this much money and brands dying to put clothes on these girls bodies to not dress them well nor MATCHING. when I watched the seoul concerts I was so confused because WHY was the online concert a year ago better than this. the typa girl stage outfits were the worst. hated roses fit, the other ones were alright but again not matching. also just because YG wants to be this all ,,green” and ecological company which reuses outfits that doesn’t mean that bp has to walk around in wrapping paper. normally these girls are ALWAYS dressed in their brand ambassadors, WHY not here. Lisa could wear some celine accessories for her solo performers and JISOO could wear a dior dress for her liar cover. I also hoped to see them in more hot pink and black fits for pink venom or shut down or at least wear the fits from the mv. the stage. i was again not happy with the stage. and don’t tell me i’m all petty and have to high standards. THEY have MILLIONS of dollars/euros/won whatever and they waste it. the last tour they were on, they had platforms which could go up. In their first tour they had platforms in the front in the back, they had a much longer walkway (although I don’t know if you can always influence that) the music list was also pretty weird. it starting with how you like that on the first day was a good idea. but why not shut down or have a big intro concept and then d4 ? they have songs, by now, why not use them. also really disappointed in happiest girl, you never know and bet you wanna not being a part of the tour. the songs were so good and PERFECT for the ending part of the concert. sometimes they would also put the hardest choreographed songs in one set, it ending up in them not dancing forcefully or being out of breath. I like the ending part though, it’s always fun to watch but still; the energy they put in overall there is rookie group level. It’s not good enough and I’m tired of blinks pretending it is. I’m so happy I didn’t buy the tour tickets as well because I know they can do sm better but aren’t doing it.

i hope i won’t come off as rude but as someone who has vocal background (i did opera for 4 years) as well as contemporary dance for 2 years… people who didn’t study half as much have MUCH MORE energy than the girls. you put your heart and soul into those performances, and honestly? im so upset for people who paid thousands of dollars to see them live. so glad i didn’t buy the tickets

I mean, who would WANT to be there when you were locked in the basement for two years and any music or content you tried to participate in was shut down and not released. Take CL’s journey as an example for her extension until she was free when the company wouldn’t let her release her own music for YEARS… YG loves control and they don’t care as long as they’re making money.

Don't expect YG to actually slavedrive girls from influential and rich families, like they would with regular kpop idols. They are also using the tried and true formula they developed on 2ne1, except in YG's own words "this time with pretty girls". Criticizm is valid. They are not as good as kpop groups below them, then do they deserve the top spot and top money. Except Lisa. If Blinks want to keep funding their designer bags and luxury cars with the 300usd tickets, it's their choice, I guess, but I would not.

i'm a blink myself and i may get dragged for this here. i absolutely agree with you that the tour was absolutely rushed to begin with. the teaser that was dropped in early july/august said that the tour was starting in october and i thought that the timing of it was a bit early to begin with. when the tour dates dropped in august, the dates between south korea, USA & europe were quite tight. at least with the blackpink in your area tour, it started in november 2018 in south korea and then the tour began in asia in january 2019 after their christmas shows in japan which is probably why their previous tour is more organised than this one. at least they probably had more time to practice after the south korea shows had occurred. i even think that the stage for this tour isn’t as good as the previous stage in my opinion either. i thought the stage might’ve been a bit of an upgrade or even the same as the blackpink in your area tour, but it’s actually a bit of a downgrade. at least with the previous tour stage, they had four platforms that went up. with this one, they only have one platform that went up this time with a triangular platform that goes up as well. what i've also noticed with the platform that goes up during forever young on the born pink tour, compared to seoul & dallas, the platform for the dallas shows were smaller compared to the south korean shows and i could tell that they didn’t have enough space to do the choreo on there which is why it looked a bit more messier on the first night they did it with the smaller platform. they did better on the 2nd night though so hopefully they may have a bigger platform for the next shows but i doubt it as it depends with the sizes of the venues they’re playing at about the lip syncing situation, i agree to a certain degree, but what doesn’t help either is that the backing track is very loud on certain songs and it drowns out the live vocals which is why a lot of people think that they’re actually lip syncing and it also depends on what video you’re watching since the audio sounds like they are lip syncing on some of them. have they lip synced before? yes they have, but not whenever it comes to tours. maybe they want to lip sync because of intense choreography with depending on what song that could be or they just want to focus with choreo more than vocals in general (you & me by jennie being 1 example) or even if it’s because it’s a high note, they’d feel more comfortable to lip it and that’s not a bad thing. if you’re lip syncing just because you want to is a bad thing since it will look bad on the group one act of the tour costumes also in my opinion doesn’t match for me. yes, they don’t always wear over the top tour costumes, but at least make it match somewhat. i'm not keen with jennie's & rosé's outfits for act 2 as they kind of don't match, at least with jisoo & lisa, they do match since they're both wearing different shades of pink, but that could be just me. for jennie & rosé, the only thing that matches them is the black parts of their outfits and i do think that hopefully at some point (as they have been doing for some nights), they will match both jennie & rosé's costumes for act 2 for one night. if they don’t match, that doesn’t mean that they don’t look beautiful. they do look beautiful, but i just think they could match like jisoo & lisa with pink. i would like to see jennie & rosé wear gold or white for one night for the act 2 section of the born pink tour so then all of the members match. what i like for the encore parts of their tours is that they always love to have fun and wear their own merch which is so adorable, i'm glad that they’ve continued to wear their own merch on their tours since not a lot of groups/singers do it in general. the final thing i'll be talk about is the setlist choice. the setlist is not bad at all, but i do think some songs deserved a place in the setlist such as love to hate me, the happiest girl, ready for love & you never know. jisoo also deserves a solo since she’s the only one who’s singing a cover on tour, but hopefully by next year, we'll get her solo since she’s the only member without one. so i am sorry if some of you disagree with what i have to say here, but this is just my own opinion since the born pink tour can be improved somehow as it does gave potential. i absolutely love blackpink, but i do think as of now, the born pink tour is not as good as their previous tour. i do love the born pink tour, but there’s a lot of stuff that should be improved on, especially after the 2 year wait

Let me start off by saying Blackpink has talent. However, especially on this comeback, it is painfully obvious that these for women still have a very long way to go to be the best (I'mnot talking popularity here). It's not even their fault. Their company needs to invest a lot of time on vocal training as well as stage performance and their choreography. A group that has been doing this for this long should not be making so many mistakes it be this weak with vocals. I hope their company invests more time on their vocal and stage performance abilities because they do have the potential to be better and I will continue to check them out in the future and see their growth. Like I said, it's not their fault. Their company is at fault here for not investigating more time into their training. The company should focus on that instead of popularity.

I think the thing that irritates me most is it feels like they don't respect their fans, Blinks spent so much money to see them and they get a poor preformance. Wether or not the girls wanted to be there or if they were tired they could have done better. Fans can tell the difference between trying and falling short and not trying at all. I also feel the two year hiatus is NOT and excuse for poor preformance, many groups have done a hiatus and come back swinging with tight preformances.

let's not forget the whole vma's fiasco as well... everything about that was fishy.. they didn't release anything in two years but got nominated as group of the year? lisa won kpop act of the year over bts - don't get me wrong, i love Lisa, i listened to her single a lot, but lets be honest, even if you don't think bts should have won, out of all the nominees neither should have Lisa mtv promoting them everywhere just to get the views... the whole thing just screamed marketing campaign.. and I'm sorry but this painted the group in a bad light for me. i know people hate to compare groups but unfortunately bts and blackpink are constantly pushed on the same pedestal so it's only fair to compare in relevant situations. the only thing i want to point out is that when bts broke into the international market and were labelled "best boy group" by the media they constantly gave their 110% to give their fans the best they possibly could to even try and live up to that name. 5 years after winning that first billboard award and they are still trying to live up to that name and they still feel like they don't deserve it. blackpink never did that... this tour was a way to give back to their fans... and they simply didn't... we keep blaming YG but at this point I'm actually disappointed to see no passion from the girls themselves...

No hate on BP, but at this moment, it seem like that the girls is already losing their artistic as an idol group. I can’t believe that ppl pay to see them but all they get is messy choreography, unorganized stage, and lazy singing. I don’t even know why, and it’s better not to be an excuse for “motion sickness” or “they’re just tired”- gurl they have TWO years of their hiatus and I never heard that doing choreography/dancing can cause motion sickness (I was a team leader of the K-pop club at my high school and I was also in charge of helping my teams for any choreography, there’s some choreography that included some spinning, but you’ll have a dizziness feeling, and not motion sickness.) Idk why they’re nominated for best girl group, when it’s obviously- they’re not interested in their idol career. their backup dancers were the star of the show 😭

Honestly for Rosés solo I’d rather have hard to love and Gone instead of otg because then she could have no choreo and have her just singing the whole time and going around the stage. She’s the main vocal for a reason. Although she may want to do a none sad song I’d rather her do this pls. Like before she even had solos she sang and just sat on a chair or piano or played the guitar, like something but not dancing. I love her and I love her dancing she is lead dancer but for the tour I’d rather hear her sing and have fun rather than not sing parts of her songs so she can dance no thanks

It's basically common fact that this isn't their passion anymore and honestly there's nothing to defend. They shouldn't have started touring if they're gonna give lacklustering performances. Even when they acc trying their best, it looks like rookie work. It's somewhat clear that they don't pratice because some members have small improvements whiile have none at all. The fact that Lisa says in interviews that she wishes the girls give it their all. That acc makes me feel smallest bit bad for her, like, she realistically can't re-debut in another group and she can't hold herself solo like out of all of them, being an idol was deadass her dream and she gets this???? I'm counting the days till they disband so we don't get these shit preformances because this made me loose all the hype i have ever had for blackpink, saying thart D4 was their peak is exteremely embarassing but it is. Blinks were saying they were performing after 2 years so they were nervous but honestly after watching GirlsGeneration I don't know what to say about them GirlsGeneration 3 member being in different company and coming together after 5 years and who were busy in their individual career were freaking amazing than them I think blackpink just want to be soloist than group right now

Even though I have been a Blink for such a long time, I agree that things need to change. I just hope it will all be okay for them, the company and us fans. I still do not regret buying myself tickets and am looking forward to the show in Amsterdam.

The ones who attended the concert literally enjoyed I was there at concert and people were so hyped . The girls performance was just lit and incredible just bcoz of some mistakes that are noticed in CAm that we didn't even noticed cuz we were enjoying and they weren't even as big as people was telling and other than that the "lip sync " Blackpink was actually performing and singing at the same time . Bcoz of some dance moves they had to do it . People are so cheap nowadays go hype your favs don't waste time making hate videos Abt Blackpink. They are the biggest gg ever and they'll be . Blackpink will produce more hit songs . So better not waste your time . Ever since their comeback people are so jealous that they are breaking records lmaoo

I'm disappointed in a group I've known for three years and I'm sure they only want money and the girls haven't seen the fans in three years since the last concert It's no excuse that they're tired You're in your concert The excitement is supposed to be higher but they just want to go to sleep

So I was at Dallas day 1, I was in the first few rows of Section 105 so I was VERY close to the stage, and it was honestly a great performance overall. I did notice a couple choreo mistakes but honestly all four of the members did a great job of interacting with fans and their mics WERE on. I do not regret paying for my ticket one bit, it was such a fun night - the crowd was energetic and you could tell Blackpink was feeding off that energy too.

It’s like they chose to have a tour last minute and then only practiced for like 2 months and this is the result… I’m sorry but I would be pissed off if I paid that huge price for a ticket and got this…

Honestly, the criticism is fair, especially since so many big groups have been having world tours and showing up 100%. Big groups with a lot of anti-fans like Stray Kids and Twice had tours and there wasn’t this type of criticism, so it can’t be put on antis either. If so many people are seeing this many flaws, including people who like BLACKPINK, like me, there is something wrong. I went and say the Astro movie today and it showed a lot of behind the scenes and how they had to practice for ages to change the choreography from 6 to 5 because of MJ’s enlistment. They practiced and practiced and you could see the dedication, frustration, fun, and passion. On the other hand, the BLACKPINK clips I’ve seen show almost none of that. No ‘practice hard to show their appreciation for the fans’ shone through. Another thing people pointed out was that the members didn’t seem to show as much closeness. I think it was Rosé and Lisa were thought to be fighting. Sometimes when groups want to put choreography aside and have a fun time with the songs and fans, interactions between members is critical. Groups like Twice and Seventeen had more clips of their interaction then of actually choreographed songs were shared and gained them a lot of positive reactions. I think BLACKPINK really needs to come together as a group to deliver these performances is they aren’t going to give the same energy into the choreographed stages. Maybe it’s because they have been away from preforming for so long, but why didn’t they try to make up for that or even schedule it better. I used to have a problem with Big Hit just having concert after performance after concert for BTS, but at least they gave everything in each one for their fans and they haven’t become lazy. I think it’s obvious that Lisa really has been the only one who is still comfortable on a stage.

If they want to preform and put out songs as a group in future they need to spend more time together. I think they should do season 2 of blackpink house show to reconnect, share the same energy, love, ideas... in the last few years, they have come a long way as they have gained a lot of business with well-known brands through their recognition. the show they did in the past called the blackpink house show would help them connect and the fans would like it too. they had a 2-year hiatus, so I think they could record the show and publish it as well.

I’m going to their concert in Paris and honestly it’s just for closure because I stopped being a fan in 2021. I started stanning in 2017 during their best days and now they don’t seem to care anymore and it’s kinda hurtful for the fans. Instead of working on themselves during their 2 years of zero activity they were lazy and only spent their time partying ( which is not a bad thing by itself ) and now look at the outcome. It doesn’t even feel genuine anymore when they say “we love you blinks”

I just watched a lot of clips from their concert in Korea and Dallas. They all did great. Do watch videos from vloggers who uploaded atleast 1 hour of the concert. Not some clips that highlights just all the bad stuff. Can't wait for their concert here in the Philippines. Definitely excited to see and hear them live. Yup, just watch the whole videos of their concert in RU-vid. *NOT JUST SOME CLIPS. It definitely got me excited.👍

I don't understand why there are some people who would make an effort to intentionally cut and sort all their missed steps and spread it on social medias, and what is the purpose of this? I personally don't expect a perfect live performance but the whole show was great, everyone was enjoying their performance. most especially those who were actually there. Its so funny that those who are complaining were not even there. Haters did not, do not and will never see anything good from blackpink. They are haters remember?

I mean.. no hate but to the people who are telling others to try and dance while singing.. that’s kinda dumb cause it’s literally not their job?? Dancing/singing is quite LITERALLY BP’s career, it’s what they get paid for. It’s what they’ve trained for for like 10 years or something. If I decided I had a passion for music and trained super hard maybe then ask me to try that. Asking random fans to “try what they do” is dumb, it’s literally their job. It would be similar to asking Jennie to perform carotid endarterectomy. She wouldn’t even know what that was.

They are top girl group in terms of brand power. The girls didn't make money from music, but in luxury brand deals. The money earned from streams, views, concerts go to YG (the company) not to girls.

They really forgot that they were a music band first and foremost. Once they disband they’ll realize that it was the Blackpink brand that got them their luxury brand deals, individually they are not going to be as strong. (Apart from maybe Lisa) All in all this situation is really sad for the fans considering this might be their last world tour before they disband…

As someone who was a fan of them in 2017 (first girl group I ever got into) I do agree with everything said in this video. I honestly got tired of waiting and waiting to just get disappointed in the end. For the people who are saying "they are tired, they are stressed" is no excuse they had 2 yrs to improve themselves improve there dancing and there skills in general. And while yes I am not a idol in any shape way or form at the end of the day this is there job 🤷‍♀️.

For now I'm really disappointed from blackpink new comeback. Like Lisa was so energetic before their comeback. And we didn't said anything to Jennie because before this comeback she was suffering from ankle injury. But now she's perfect but still she danced lazy. Yeah I'll say her lazy because now it's over to saying " Jennie isn't lazy her health is not good" it's over now she's perfect but still. Even they forgot the positions why blink pay so many penny for this lazy messy and boring concert. The first group i staned it was Blackpink, and now i think I'd prefer to not be a blink anymore. In this whole show Lisa manage everything and either she was lazy too. But not like Jennie, rose. Jisoo work hard on her covered solo only or otherwise she was also lazy. Le sssfrem deserve more then them. So many disappointation. But what can we do now. Now I'm not a blink anymore!
