Loved that SLO pedal tone you got. Would like to have heard it with the gain pulled back to a “super-crunch” setting. But, WOW you got a killer tone with that pedal. This was a text-book example of how to do a demo. Love that tele with the single humbucker in the bridge as well! Glad I found this channel. I just subscribed 👍
Great video! Thx... Just one comment/doubt: I guess the use case for the Plexi-sim pedal should not be pairing it with the UK setting from the Amped 1... I mean, anybody who buys a Plexi pedal, do that because he DOESN'T have a Plexi amp... so he'll tipically pair it with a clean (US/Fender type) amplifier... so.. that trial to me is not 100% correct and provide sounds that don't make justice to the Amped1 (or to the pedal)
Thank you! Yes I know what you mean, usually you buy a plexi in a box pedal to get the sound of a plexi with a non-plexi amp. But if you buy the Amped1 you have the option to choose what sounds best to you - UK or US. And for me UK sounded better in my opinion. Also the Stardust is a Fender in a box pedal, for me it also sounded better with the US setting. So why should I do it the "correct" way (who actually decides what is correct?) rather then going the way that I think sounds better :)?
On the contrary, Marshall in a Box pedals were designed to get those sounds from your Plexi style amps early WITHOUT having to crank them, that's why they can sound too dark with other types of amps.
