What’s up everybody. In today’s video I will be unboxing, putting together, seasoning, and testing out a 30” Culinary Blackstone Omnivore Griddle Grill with an attached Hood. This is an exclusive size/model for Lowes that I picked up on sale Memorial Day Weekend 2024 for $350. This is a great size because it’s a little bigger than the 28” version, but it’s not quite as big and cumbersome as the larger 36” version. It’s very easy to put together, seasoning is not that hard to do in order to get the griddle prepared to cook on, the food is cooked perfectly and evenly, it’s safer to grill because you don’t have to worry about pesky grease fire, and you can cook so many different types of foods from breakfast, lunch, & dinner. Overall, I am really enjoying this grill and I highly recommend it.

Good review. My only issue with the 30” is you’re paying $115 more than the 28” (Walmart $285). Besides an additional 2” of cooking surface what else do you get? Absolutely nothing. The $400 price tag for the 30” even exceeds the cost of the 36” which has more to offer. Makes no sense price wise when you’re not getting anything else other than a slightly larger cooking surface.

True, but for my family of 5 and when we have guests I valued having the slightly larger griddle. But I agree, for value/budget, the 28” omnivore is perfectly sufficient.

Can you convert the to natural gas instead of propane..I know they sell the kit but I also heard thus particular black stone could not ???

I assume you can with the right attachment but I’m not 100% sure.

I didn’t…with the open flame below i assumed the flame would burn off any forming rust. But, I don’t think it would hurt if you did.

Does the hood being open interfere with the drip tray?

The liquid rolls off the griddle into the drip tray with the hood open but if you scrape chunks of debris down the back some of the chunks may land on the lip of the hood but you can scrape it off into the tray.

This looks lightweight you can store in away especially if you live where Winter’s are rough.

The wheels make it very easy to move it around. The 30” is a perfect size.

@@DieselLegiance I own a 36 inch model and while I like it, I feel it’s outdated. I want with a hood I hate taking the one I have off cause it knocks the grease trap off. Be honest how is the Omivore?

@dmw1280 I never tried a non omnivore as this is my first Blackstone but I live in a windy area and the taller sides do help block a little wind and the attached hood is nice. I get pretty good heat coverage overall except about 1” along the outside perimeter
