BladeRunner: Nabrawind craneless blades installation system

BladeRunner is a craneless blade's maintenance and installation system. It is based on the installation of small pieces of equipment on the hub of the wind turbine with which the blade is directly manipulated and ascends and descends in a vertical position. The system is connected directly to the blade root inserts or T-Bolts, which avoids applying force on its aerodynamic surface, thus eliminating the risk of cracks appearing in the handling area.

craneless means they dont need a very large special crane that can reach all the way to the top.

Dear Fourfourty, Sorry for the late reply. The crane you see in the video is used only to help to level the blade. In this maneuver, as it is an old wind turbine with a relatively short hub height, the crane seems bigger than it is. On the other hand, as Martijn Bruggers says, what we mean is that the BladeRunner doesn't require Crawler Cranes. Best, Nabrawind Team.

if it's craneless then what's that standing next to the turbine? a CRANE! but of course, the crane is used to position the blade, not install it so i guess it doesn't count, but it's still a C R A N E !
