In light of Princess Catherine's announcement over the weekend that she was diagnosed with cancer, actress Blake Lively has apologised to the Princess of Wales over a now-deleted social media post.
The actress mocked Princess Catherine in a now-deleted Instagram post that poked fun at her photoshop incident earlier this month.
Ms Lively said she felt “mortified” by the post following revelations that the Princess was undergoing preventative cancer treatment.
“I made a silly post around the ‘photoshop fails’ frenzy, and oh man, that post has me mortified today,” Ms Lively wrote on her Instagram story.
The Daily Mirror’s Royal Editor Russell Myers reacted to Lively's apology, saying she is “very much eating humble pie this week after she was caught out mocking the Princess of Wales over her photoshop fail”.

Blake Lively is married to Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds, who is from where I live, Vancouver BC Canada. He is very highly regarded in this town as well as Canada as a whole. This faux pas by his wife also gives him a black eye. Hopefully he has spoken to her about it. As a Canadian, he is part of the Commonwealth and grew up with the late Queen as our Head of State. I hope he educates his American wife on how to be a respectful human being.

The most laughable thing about this woman is her husband is part owner of an English football team called Wrexham, now showing its trials and tribulations on Disney. Wrexham is an old football club, but guess where it is located let me tell you , Wales yes Wales , where Catherine is their Princess of wales. King Charles and Queen Camilla have visited and met Ryan Reynolds and only a week ago the Prince of wales William himself visited the stadium and stayed a while whilst visiting Wrexham he was welcomed by Ryan’s other part owner of the team Rob Macavy . So if she thinks that the Welsh people who adore Princess Catherine of wales will forget what she did she is delusional. And the sad thing is if Catherine was well enough she would most likely have been there with William.

I can’t help but think that Princess Catherine’s health could well have been affected by the stream of betrayals from Montecito and the Harkle’s lap dog, Omid Scobie. To be falsely accused of racism would have been so hurtful. To also hear Harry’s claim in the Netflix mockumentary that he married for love, ‘unlike other members of his family’ would have been hurtful. I think Harry and his vile wife have a lot to answer for when it comes to both of these royal cancer diagnoses. To be betrayed so comprehensively would have been traumatic. It might help the recovery of both King Charles and Princess Catherine if they cut the horrible Harkles off for good and never spoke with or met them ever again.

Just goes to prove that people aren't really who we thought they were... The reconciliation of Ryan's seeming relationship with William and how cruel his wife could be to the other's wife makes you wonder. ( the immediate backlash should have had Ryan persuading his wife to take down that post) and then that flimsy apology written on sand... very disappointing to say the least. The royal family is not safe... they are surrounded by cruel, wicked people who are just using their connections to further their own agendas.
