hang on, this makes no sense. one, that woman was covered in dust, her fingers were stiff, and the blood was all dried up - she'd likely been dead since before he got there. two, *he got whacked in the head with a pipe. he's going to have a concussion at the very *least*, if not something more serious, but definitely an injury that could easily prove he was attacked. third, the neighbors not seeing anyone else doesn't mean there was no one else there, as someone who knew he wasn't supposed to be there would be sneaky while someone who thought he was supposed* to be there wouldn't bother. fourth, his fingerprints would have only been in certain places, like her hand, because that's all that he touched. fifth, as i mentioned earlier, *all her blood looked pretty freaking dry*, meaning that the blood on his clothes would have been his own, from the injury that - again - *would have been really easy for them to find*. sixth, fingerprints aren't solid evidence for multiple reasons. finally, he was invited over the phone, meaning that it wouldn't be hard to check and see that he really had been called over. on top of that, the police were called because the neighbors saw a trespasser - we don't have any reason to believe that they knew about the woman before they got there. the cop interrogating him is implying that the strongest evidence against him is fingerprint-based, which as i already mentioned isn't nearly as strong as we used to think it was. finally, if that woman *had* been murdered after he arrived, there's still plenty of evidence supporting his alibi- namely, *the fucking head wound*, the fingerprints he would've left in other areas of the house, and, again, the fact that someone had called him over under false pretenses. his story isn't bullshit, that cop is just really fucking bad at his job.

Well, Mark I'm not exactly sure about the exact science behind it but pointing a flashlight *_up_* is actually a much better way to illuminate a room than one focused beam. Kudos to the game devs for incorporating that instead of the standard game flashlight. ....and if for some reason someone sees my comment and didn't know this and thinks I'm full of shit then go look it up or pull out a flashlight, turn off the lights, and point it towards your ceiling.

Back In December of 2016 I was super sick from the flu. I decided to take a nostalgia trip and watch markiplier since I used to watch him all the time back in 2013-14. I watched this video and I remember being amazed how good this game was and how clever it was. I was laying on the couch in our basement super warm while snowing out and watching this.. That music when he uncovers the woman's body got me more than the visuals did. It genuinely sent a chill of terror down my spine.

None of this would work in real life. First of all, the character would have proof that someone lead them there - they would have the email or letter or whatever stating that they should go there for a job. Second of all, if you got hit in the head HARD ENOUGH TO KNOCK YOU OUT, you would have some sort of proof of that - a welt, a bruise, blood in your hair from a wound, SOMETHING. There would be some sort of evidence for the cops to realize you're not lying, at least not completely. This person doesn't know how police work. They wouldn't just be like, "I hear what you're saying but you're stupid." Even if the "evidence" is hard to deny, they would at least take your side into consideration. Unless the detective is the one who was hunting you or something, but that should have been made more obvious if that's the case.

My parents and I have Nokia smartphones almost exactly like that. BTW pointing the flashlight up is more effective since the ceiling diffuses the light evenly, as opposed to one focused beam that also forces your eyes to adjust and prevents you from seeing around the lit area.
