Yeah fr! Some of these newer American girl groups for some reason have poor dancing skills or just stand awkwardly on a stage and harmonise awfully....
Very good vocal control. It's not easy, I can imagine, to control your voice while dancing. Probably like controlling your voice while crying. My respects to them.
Blaque was really something to be Proud of ~ they knew how to Blend R&B and POP music perfectly…It says alot that Britney Spear & NYSNC got them as Opening acts very early in they’re Career. Left Eye really had Big Plans for them 🙏🏾♥️💯

Blaque! Brings me back to when I was age 14 going on 15 in year 1999. They were my favorite upcoming girl singing group. This song was a favorite of mine because of the music, vocals as well as rap, and dancing. But the message I didn't understand so clearly like I do now as a grown adult, ha! MrYourstruly78 lefteye93 ah yeah I get that, their energies would've bounced off one another and created a force to be reckoned with, I often wonder where the artists who've passed would've been as well and sometimes look for artists today who can show me that their hard work wasn't in vain, but I've seen nothing of the sort! Only they could've done it like they could✊ maybe in the 2020's somebody will show up and give me hope for today's music scene
I dont think anyone can bring to the table what these artists had brought. Back in the day these artists struggled to be where they were and rose to fame because they sang and rapped about their own life experiences, they made their statements loud and clear. Who knows maybe God took em all back because he wanted good music up in heaven😉😎
These American girl groups walked so kpop groups could run!! Blaque was amazing. So many talented American girl groups got buried in the talent pit unfortunately and got forgotten about and the quality of the newer ones who can't really dance well or blend together beautifully as a group (like Fifth Harmony, respectfully) are what people think is the best American girl groups can get. This performance is just one of the very many examples of the potential that American girl groups had back then if they had better management. Anyways 808 is my fave Blaque song! Love these girls sm. ❤❤❤
Please stop saying they copied TLC. FYI: Blaque was discovered by Left Eye’s Brother under his management. However, Left Eye like what she saw and managed them instead. This is why you see so many similarities from TLC. I mean I thought the same thing when I was in elementary. Last, after Left Eye’s passing they did not have anyone to manage them or guide them with their career. Left Eye & Natina we’re friends and formed the group around Natina. Left Eye was the Godmother to Natina’s son. Natina has a son by rapper Kurupt. Left Eye passed away in 2002 but the group tried to make a come back in 2012 but Natina-(rapper) was hit by a car and died unfortunately. Hope this helps someone!!!

I didn't know Natina Reed had passed away from last year. I thought she was still living as a parent of her son, Tren Brown. She was a good singer and a rapper and a member of blaque. R.I.P. Natina Reed!

They were an extension of TLC, the new TLC....and no matter how old they would get they were always Little Girls in my opinion....which brings me to another question how in the hell is beYAWNcy claiming to be only 31 when Natina Reed would've been 34....anyway I never believe anything beYAWNcy says, she's much older. yeah Natina wasnt really Lisa's biological cousin. she use to just say that. And yeah they were heavily influenced by TLC as far as image and group dynamic.

I think Left Eye was going for the DOC sound and style...Brandi sounds similar to Tboz in her lower register and with the rasp , and shamari like Chilli , with vocal ability and ability, and Natina like she, rapping and with a similar timbre .
Don’t see those similarities, even though they are similar groups. Only in left Eye and Natina, similar sound. But Shamari sings much better than tboz and chilli much better than Brandi
her vocal precision is bad but I still would never do without her.. I just had to have these girls in my ear.. didn't care that the notes were off alot.. they were plenty enough for me. loved it. lol
