Doug Erholtz is for the civilized Hazama. Erik Davies is for the smug, obnoxious asshole Hazama. Seriously, every line Erik delivers drips with that snot-nosed asshole energy. It’s perfect. Shame that by all accounts he retired from voice acting.
Go with the full explanation : there 3 or 4 different kanjis to say blue in Japanese and they are all read the same way : "ao" . So the blue in blazblue use different kanjis for Hazama’s one, Ragna’s one and Noel’s one.
Funny, but in "Ao-iconoclast", which is openning to calamity trigger, you can hear "Hazama". But it's written "狭間", and the Hazama's name written like "ハザマ".
You can, this is a secret unlimited combo. You can search online for the inputs. Every unlimited character mode has its own secret super. Up until chronophantasma extend has its secret super.
In this game it's exclusive to his Unlimited form (a.k.a his boss form that you fight in the arcade mode of this game). In future games he and other characters are given an Overdrive mode that is character specific on what it does. For Hazama here, it gives him that ring along with a bunch of other buffs while it's active.
